Once again way too blunt at the pointy end, still not gelling upfront

Cant complain about our defence, another clean sheet, Chiriches really is settling in well

Game changed when Sandro went off injured but I dont think he is too bad

Another week, another goalkeeper with as many goals as Townsend and Soldudo (excluding penalties obviously).

There were people on an Arsenal forum I'm on saying good things about Chiriches, he must be doing pretty well if even Gooners are talking him up. You reckon he'll be a starter with everyone fit?

Nice win over Sherriff in Europa this morning and finally Lamela has hit his straps, brilliant game in a MOM performance.

Cant be shifted from top spot in out group so I expect the last few games will see alot of academy players get a run.

Lamela V. Sherriff

Coming along nicely but I'd like to see him use his right foot abit more and stay on his feet a bit more, he goes down a bit too easy for mine

AVBs biggest weakness is his team selections.
He drops Sandro for Dembele, the latter whom was mostly responsible for the goal.
He keeps Townsend but not Lennon.
At least he finally brought Eriksen back. He's already proving again he is our best player when he plays.

Changes that need to happen;
Sandro on for Dembele. Moussa has been terrible and is, like other games he plays, letting their midfield get past ours too essily.
lamela/Lennon on for Sigurrdson. Siggy has been non-existent.

If AVB doesn't make at least one of these changes at half time then I think I might just switch the TV off.

Oh, and Townsend showing again why he isn't worth the hype. Absolutely selfish player that stops the play dead in its tracks too often, and has no idea how to pass forward. Getting mighty sick of him and AVBs persistence with him.

Yer 100% agree on Townsend, Right now I'd give up all our summer signings to have Bale back, Soldado is proving to be the imposter I thought he would turn out to be, heck Remy played him off the park. Dembele has completely lost the plot of late aswell

AVB needs to settle on a first XI. Bringing so many players in was always going to make it hard to gel. Constantly messing around with selection prolongs the problem.

Pick an XI, make sure Defoe is in it and Soldado isn't, stick with that XI for all important games.

I think there is a genuine chance for at least 2 or even all 3 of Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs to finish in the top 4.

As long as you're below us I really hope you finish above the plastic teams. So please stop picking Soldado.

Soldado is way better than Defoe. You can't pick the same XI when you play Thursday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday every week. Rotation is a must, we've run out of puff the last two years at the end of the season.

Anyway, onto our midfield - Sandro definitely should have been starting last night. The game just showed that either he or Capoue have to be starting at all times. Rotate them, they are both effective, though I'd pefer Sandro in the big games.

Dembele has shown form this year when he has been partnered with Sandro/Capoue. With Paulinho, it just doesn't work at all. Dembele still is one of our best/most important players and will have a big role to play this year in all competitions.

Last night was a strange game, lately the problem was that we haven't been creative enough but last night we created plenty of chances. If we were on target with a few of those shots, could have easily been 4-1. So in a way I'm not terribly dissapointed as it looked to me that it was kind of starting to "click".

And if Lloris was playing, Remy definitely wouldn't have scored. I would way rather Gomes, Friedel is well past it.

We had 65% possession overall and According to MOTD, Krul made the most number of saves since Opta started recording the stat in 2006.

 We are a shambles. Better hope that massive January signing happens! Even then, I doubt it will fix this mess.

Mid high line wasn't high enough. at least you controlled the first 9 seconds. #AVBOUT was trending on twitter by halftime .

We tried to tell you...

Up until this morning I would have argued with you but not after that crap, that was inexcusable, we played like a 3rd division team

This ridiculously high line that we play has backfired on us against teams like Newcastle and the Spammers. We play so high that most of the team are in the opponents half and when you have centreback as slow as Dawson you will get beaten on the counter more often than not and that has happened but AVB is way too pig headed to change his ways.

He seems to only know one way. He always plays a 4231 no matter who we play and he wants his fullback to play as wingers so there is no one at home if we turn the ball over.

Its so frustrating seeing Paulinho play so well and thread fantastic through balls to his forwards for Brazil yet for Spurs we are so compact as we all all in the same half, there is just no room for him to work.

I really like Soldado's skill set and I think he will do well but he has never had any room to move because we are so compact, he has 2 or 3 players on him every time he gets the ball.

Eriksen played very well at the start of the season but when he learned AVB's way he has gone backwards.

As for last night, I have no idea, thats the worst defeat I've ever seen as a Spurs fan.

AVB has to change his ways or he just wont last because we have a good squad on paper.

I reckon he'd be pretty nervous atm.

I think you've got a good decent squad, it's just extremely unbalanced.

Lots of work horses and runners but no one creative. Eriksen fills that gap but he's lost a bit of form since his arrival and obviously he's out a while now so who knows where creativity will come from.

You won't be the only team to head to Etihad and get raped. They're looking pretty ominous and things are starting to click.

I know you guys think the world of Soldado but he's looked sh*t every time i've seen him (5 or 6 games). He's basically a poacher and i've seen nothing to convince me otherwise. I'd consider giving Adebayor a chance, at least he's got height so can be a target when you're looking to cross it in.
