Bentley gone to Birmingham on loan, with a buy out of 9mill in the summer.

How the f**k we got 9mill for him is beyond me, he never plays and we only ended up paying about 6mill for him as he only played two EPL games in his first year with us.

Good business I guess but there is also a worry about Birmingham's ability to honour the deal.

Assuming they don't go down that should not be a problem, they are quite rich.

If Bentley can rediscover his Blackburn form then it will be good business for the Brummies. Apparently he was training all week at Spurs but would then get an injury on the Friday. Hence Harry was less than impressed.

I'm presuming from the article in the Everton thread that we have signed Steven Pienaar?

I don't really know much about him, would he be a good buy for us? (If he has signed for us)

add Huddlestone to that list

he's better than Jenas or Palacios and Jenas could well be off

I just read an article regarding Andy Carroll which was posted today (over in England) that Tottenham are favourite to sign him this transfer window, i.e. January? I can't see how Newcastle would let him go.....but if we have the money, we should go all out for him (apparently we already are). Great young player that is in prime form and will only get better. Imagine if we had him, it could potentially fix our striker problems; a combo of Carroll and VDV or Carroll and Defoe would be great to see, and if Redknapp does go for Carroll and Defoe then VDV can move into the midfield.

they dont want to sell him and we are aiming a fair bit higher than Carroll

I don't really know which UK media outlets are to be trusted so I'll take your word for it :), and we are aiming higher than Carroll??? A fair bit higher....Carroll is a bloody good striker, or at least in great form, this makes me want to sit and think.

Another UK article popped up (without quotes) that because Beckham's LA Galaxy contract ends in November, Spurs may try to permanently sign him.
Again though, no substance.
Something tells me we are going to keep strengthening an already stellar squad.

When it comes to football rumours none. :D

Until you see the guy on the pitch shaking Harrys hand holding a shirt don't believe a word. Most 'stories' come from forums and usually start "My mate works at WHL and he was telling me we want Carroll." That later changes into "A sourse at WHL told the Mirror today Harry is looking at signing Carroll from Newcastle."

For what its worth you can do better than him. Torres will be for sale in the summer... ;-)

Other news you have had made a bid for Pienaar at Everton. Yours was rejected and Chelsea had one accepted, so you may have to up the price if you want him. That came from Moyes in a post match interview btw.

Pienaar has rejected Chelski so its back in our court, we've gone back with another offer.

It's so sickening the way players just scream at the ref after decisions. Rooney would have been sent off in any other sport, why is it different in football?

Also sickening how all the players from the other team run up to the ref pleading for people to be sent off. Just leave it alone.
