I wouldn't take Barton, he's clearly a dickhead

its a tough one, he's talented and he's free and he's English which makes him good value for resale, but yeah he's a dickhead

he did well for the barcodes last year

I think our problem is that we've already signed one midfielder or close to signing one, the players have apparently been told its done

So it's either Afellay or Diarra, and the prospect of signing one of them has me VERY excited. My issues are though, Afellay is injured and thus can't pass the medical, and the media talk was that Real wanted Bale in 2012-2013 if we got Diarra. Huge news either way!!!

RM have had first refusal on Bale or anyone since the VDV deal, thats assuming we want to sell him.

He's made it pretty plain he doesn't want to go anywhere, much like Modric who seems to have fallen out with his Croatian agent for trying to push him to Chelski. As I said about a month back, most of those quotes were from his agent and not Modric as he was on a boat on holidays.

Agents are the scum of the earth imo.

Well from what you posted back then it is definitely Diarra. Very good signing, I also assume Palacios is gone then, or is he still there?

Give me Afellay, I'm happy with Sandro and Huddleston at CDM. Who cares if he has a torn hamstring.

So I take it RM and Spurs are forging a bit of a relationship, I've obviously got no qualms about that :) Good to hear about Modders, too.

Problem is though, we have a lot of attacking midfielders as well. Hopefully we get both but I'm not holding my breath, he'll I'm gonna wait for confirmation from the club on Diarra as well.

Palacios wont pass a medical atm, JJ and Hutton are off to Villa apparently.

Palacios may go out on loan, Dos Santos to Undies

When these are finalised we should see 2 strikers if all goes to plan but with us it rarely does.

One of the strikers will be on loan and one should be on a transfer. If they both come off it will be pretty big new but I've learnt not to get my hopes too high.

Also Krankjar's form in the trials has been outstanding and it looks like we will keep him for now.

Hmmm, I'll miss them. Ah well, both of them should get good game time at Villa. Good to hear about Kranjcar, he was very good for us at the end of last season as well. Any hints as to who the two strikers are?
