no Ade, he was on the radar but not sure whats happening with him, harry yes but Levy no, he's too old

dont really wanna mention them as things change so much and they are hearsay, maybe if they get a bit closer

That would make sense, have to wait and see. I'm assuming that Vucinic has fallen through then. I guess both the strikers are big names?

Arteta, he always plays very well against us

We do have quality in the centre - Arteta, Fellaini, Rodwell, Osman and Barkley (massive talent) But we may lose one of the first three, and Barton would be a good replacement.

Give me Afellay, I'm happy with Sandro and Huddleston at CDM. Who cares if he has a torn hamstring.

you may get your wish

his injury has put us in the drivers seat as we originally wanted a loan but they want to sell, now he is injured the loan is back on the table which makes 2 midfielders more affordable to us

This threads reminds me so much of what an Arsenal fan goes through in a transfer window. So much hope and expectations built up, only to be crushed when the window closes.

Hopefully at least one of us is smiling at the end of August. I like your chances more than mine.

Hey! We aren't allowed to be nice to each-other :) Thanks mate, I hope both clubs are smiling come both the end of August and the end of the season :)

On that note, technically, I should be trying to kill myself; Arsenal and Tottenham both run in the blood!!!!

Like I've said before many times, I've never bought into this Gooners/Spurs rivalry.

Sure its good to beat them for no other reason then they are a top 4 team and we want one of those spots, but there are also 19 other teams I want to beat.

The banter here is good but life is too short to waste on hating one team imo.

On a more positive note, Chris Samba anyone ?

Definitely keen for samba, he is a beast and had some cracking games last year that I saw. Good replacement for king.

I actually didn't mind arsenal till last year, but cause of their coach I now love to see them lose

I can honestly say I despise him more than any other coach after the poor sportsmanship he showed at the end of last season.

I think we need to shift Bassong to get Samba in but Levy wants alot of money for Bassong. We have let Woodgate go but if we keep Bassong and get Samba in that gives us 6 centre backs again and we are trying to trim the squad so we can afford higher wages.

Yep looks like Samba will be the first one in, then a striker will quickly follow with one on the way out. Nothing like the usual late dealings from Arry
