just my opinion but we will sign 2 strikers, one will be decent, one midfielder which some say is done and one centre half

that doesn't include Ceballos and Souliby who are already signed and players for the future

I mentioned a couple of days ago that there was a problem with the terms, Roma want cash and Levey offered terms.

We are also talking to RM about a few players not only Afellay, we could have a RM player in a few days if Palacios transfer is done soon.

Afellay is a Barcelona player, when you talk about a Madrid player, I'm guessing you are either referring to Lassana Diarra or one of the other midfielders? Going off your second post, if you told me the RM player was a striker I would immediately reply with "KB". Afellay would be a great signing IMO, and if the RM player is in the starting XI or off the bench then he would be bloody good, hell even the reserve players are quality.

I'm guessing the 2 strikers are Leandro and if not Vucinic then someone like KB. The midfielder I assume is Diarra. Just speculation on my part though, frankly I think if we managed to sign KB, Diarra, Afellay and a decent centre-half then we would be set.

KB or equal if you believe the rumours, hopefullly 2 strikers, one of those mids not both and a CH like Cahill from Blackburn

thats what we are aiming for but we'll have to wait and see what eventuates, we could end up with jackshit

no, you stay away

actually if we sign Affelay we'd probably prefer him to Mata as Mata is predominantly a left sided player and we are well equiped in that area, so he maybe all yours anyway

I noticed the Mata rumour, but I didn't think we were actually a chance of signing him. Either him or Afellay would be massive signings in my opinion.

Just curious by the way, I'm assuming if we signed either of them they would be starting players. We've already got Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and VDV fulfilling those roles though.....strange.

favouring Afellay as Lennon's no longer a lock in got the right wing, Harry is not happy with his delivery into the box, looks like we are aiming fairly high atm as years ago Lennon was one of our best but we were willing to put up with his poor crosses

this is why we prefer a right sided player

Im hopeful Champions League football gives Arsenal the edge.

it looks like we are not that interested, we inquired but no offer has been made, some close to the club are saying we are not interested, he appears to be a plan B for us

How good a chance are we for Mata or Afellay do you think, Twiz?

bid has been put in for Affelay and we will increase it if necessary but everything depends on us clearing out Jenas, Palacios, Bently, Keane, Bassong, Hutton, Crouch, Defoe etc

we have alot of interest in all our players and we just need to agree on prices, if necessary we'll have a fire sale in the last day or so and make some of these things happen

Bentley it seems will see his contract out as no one has shown any interest in him

That makes sense, I always thought Lennon's speed would get him through, but if Harry uses him as a late substitute in matches and runs him at tired fullbacks, he could have a field day.

I can understand why Mata would be plan B, we don't want to spend crazy money on a player that is demanding it from other clubs. Afellay makes sense as plan A; I doubt he would be that expensive at all, and his wages shouldn't be an issue - hopefully.

Sounds like we really want Afellay, which is a very good thing. I'm sad all those other players have to go, but alas, what do you do. If we replace them with better players then I am all for it - we just need a new striker goddamit lol.

we are gonna have to sign a midfielder or two if we sell Jenas and Palacios which we are trying to do

currently after 3 trail matches, we now have injuries to Modric, Hudds, VDV and Sandro out for another month or two

the lols continue, this is a good one

Sky Bet:
Tottenham now 7/2 (from 33/1) to sign Kaka after a stream of bets. Speculation? Or has 'Arry got something up his sleeve?

Modric had a virus, Hudds maybe not so bad and VDV just got a kick in the ankle so we took him off.

They should all be right for round 1. Sandro expected to be back at training in a month and will take another month to get his fitness back up to where it was.

I'm guessing Afellay is a no-no now because of that injury as well?
Any other news?
Thanks by the way, good news.
