Can't figure out why that was.. Sounded like a great atmosphere around the ground..

Not the usual type of game we see between these two sides..

Reckon the Spammers supporters pregame were goin off shame there team let em down, also a shame that it looks like there squad will be worse come January after they pay 20-30mill compensation to Sheffield Utd and I also hear the owners wont be putting that money back into the team due to the financial crisis atm

We will lose the like of Boa Morte and Co no matter what happens with Sheffield Uniteds bogus claim.. Not great losses by any stretch..

Ashton back or sell him and buy a decent striker will help in a big way.. Throw Etherington (if he can stay away from the bookies) into the midfield with Dyer (if he ever gets onthe field) and all is good again..

Carlton Cole is complete rubbish and offers next to nothing, why he just got a new deal is beyond me..

And the fact that they had a whole bunch of players on ridiculous contracts, like Ljungberg and Neill.

There isn't many.. Freddie is gone and Neil will have to take a pay cut to stay on with the club..

A couple of players doesn't really = a fact that a whole bunch of them being on ridiculous contracts..

Well there you go...

Nice 3 points gifted to Spurs by the ref..

To be fair i suppose they were the better team but didn't deserve to win it..
You must be joking? Look at how many clear cut chances spurs created. As for the ref, he should have given a pen against that clown Illunga for throwing his hands up in the box.

Chances don't win games.. Spurs were the better side if you could say that about either side in that game, i admit that much..

The commentators explained why Illunga's was not given as a penalty.. Hardly in the same ball park as what your guy did..

Handball is handball mate, doesn't matter if one is more blatant than the other, Illunga stuck his arms out, thats handball. Not that it matters now, neither were given.

Not really.. If someone blasts it at you from say a meter away and it hits your arm, particularly if they are beside you and not way up in the air then it's never given as handball..

According to Graham Poll (former ref) the latest interpretation of hanball in the EPL is, if your hand (arms) make contact with the ball and they are in an unnatural position it's handball. Obviously if you are only a yard away there is nothing you can do if it's hit straight at you but if your arms are sticking out you run the risk of giving away a pen.
Truth is, as most refs are crap it's pot luck if you get a pen or not.

Some good performances against utd, Dawson, Corluka, Zokora, Lennon and Gomes had excellent games. Assou-Ekotto also played well. It still is not right up front though, Pavlyuchenko was poor and so was Bent when he came on.
Losing Woodgate and Jenas to injury is going to hurt over the xmas period.
Thursday night against spartak mascow should be interesting, Harry has said he is going to give full debuts to Dean Parrett (17) and John Bostock (16).

8. What is the expected capacity?

The Chairman has been quite clear in his brief to us - it's not about chasing headline capacity, it about atmosphere and fan experience. The key issue is that we're going to have the best atmosphere of any Premier League stadiums both now and afterwards, so everything relates back to that.

We're going to be somewhere between 55,000 and 60,000. It's getting the balance right between proximity to the pitch, seat width, leg room, sight lines, all of those combined. We could give everyone a much bigger capacity but everyone will be further away from the pitch. We think that being closer, and we've talked to fan groups and a lot of people at the club, gives you that intensity.
