16-4 shots o target and 60% possession

cant dominate a side much more that that and still end up with a draw

it seems the Villa fans rated us highly this morning

Quote:
think today we saw the 4th best team in the league and i'm afraid its not us.
Quote:
I think Spurs will finish 3rd. They look better than Arsenal. Have that fighting spirit that Arsenal lacks.
Quote:
We can't seem to pass the ball where as Spurs taught us a lesson in moving the ball around.
Quote:
Totally outclassed by a very good Spurs side who are miles ahead of us when it comes to attacking football.
Quote:
I thought we were supposed to be on the same level as spurs? On that showing we're several leagues below.
Quote:
I can't believe i have actually sat through and watched that rubbish from start to finish, completley outplayed from start to finish.

gee Nikki Kranjcar has been the buy of the season

hard to see Modric getting his spot back and he's been our best player

hopelessly unorganized, we looked like a bunch of rabble

needed Lennon and Huddlestone in the midfield and BAE at left back, Bale is good cover but he is more a a left mid, he let a goal in and nearly let a second one in,

too many injuries and that really tested our depth and we failed

why take off Kranjcar when you're chasing the game?

exactly

it was obviously to get Keane on, but alot of Spurs very critical of Harry this morning

Harry is very supportive of Kean and talks him up alot, but imo he is past it

I'm really not a big fan of our strike force, if you could call it that, Defoe is the only real striker we have and he was pretty ordinary this morning

Put Keane on, but dont take Kranjcar off.

I saw you had a free kick, late in the game, not far out of the box, perfect for Kranjcar but he wasnt there, Bale took it and it went straight into the wall.

Still, that Defoe goal, or no goal was an interesting call........

I thought Defoe's call was fair, no goal imo

Bale is very good at those free kicks normally, he bends them pretty well

I guess he only took it because Huddlestone was awol, he would normally be our first choice

Very disappointing result. I could whinge about Crouch being manhandled in the box and possibly deserving of a penalty on at least 1-2 occasions and I disagree that Defoe's no-goal was the right call, but at the end of the day we totally lacked drive from the midfield and really created very few legitimate chances.

My fear is that we are wholly dependent on Aaron Lennon's pace. He makes our strikers look good and the rest of the midfield starts to work. He gives us width and speed and with him injured, we look very flat indeed. We've been humbled in 4 out of the 5 games against the Big 4 this season and with the exception of the opening day against Liverpool, have not scored a goal or looked like winning at all.

I think the reality is that we are a genuine top 6 side that is lacking the creative CM alongside Palacios as well as a bit more depth in central defense in order to potentially progress into the Top 4. Unfortunately Man City will be the ones to take advantage of Liverpool's season of discontent, or ironically Liverpool themselves might be the ones to do it!!
