From memory didnt North have a more than decent season as a part time spinner?

Not a bad bat as well, could be in the 1st XI for the 1st test side I think

To be fair to McGain, North's wickets came (a) because they were trying to hit the cover off the ball and (b) at 7 runs per over.

Things look shaky for McDonald for that first test.
