Siddle gets the centurion caught by McGain at mid on

3/192

...and another left hander comes in. If McGain plays the first test at least the Saffas only have Smith and Duminy as lefties.

Wonder what the slip cordon will look like in the 1st test? Probably not a good idea to put North there, just looking back through the commentary and with Khan on 9

3.3 Hilfenhaus to Khan, no run, edged! Dropped by North at first slip, not that difficult either. The Aussies have to lift their game

Someone said there was 2 drops in the session but couldnt find the other?

Surprised that North was at 1st slip, they must have him penciled in for the 1st test because without White, Mcdonald is a very good slip fielder for Victoria.

McGain has gone for Krejza like figures just with the 2 wickets. Too bad the selectors don't have Cam White to throw into th specialist spinner role!

The title suggests this a South African 'A' team, but it is more of a mixture 'C','D' and 'E'.

I think winning the toss and bowling has more to do with looking at our bowlers than winning the game. Hard to judge without watching the game.

McGain is not going to be as effective bowling predominantly to left handers hence its not going to be a very good indicator, however Smith and Duminy can be very dangerous.

At least McGain got wickets in his first hit out for Australia... didn't Krezja get 0/200??? And that's without going into the contrasting conditions they played in.
