Sorry but this bloke needs his own thread.

I'm sure it's been mentioned on other threads but today Chad blitzed the storm. The storm are one of the better teams of the NYC and the boys just smacked them.

Chad had his best game all year and honestly Robson isn't half the player Chad already is. I'm sick and tired of asking what Chad has to prove to get a start in firsts.

Special mention also to little liccha and Jake Walsh. Exciting time for sharks at junior level, but how we utilise these kids is anyones guess???

You're right Snoop ... he is killing it week in, week out and his goalkicking has lifted too. I reckon if he played firsts today we win; we just lacked that half steering us around. A local junior, old fashioned half who has paid his dues, won numerous titles as a kid, and is now a great goal kicker ... and we're looking to Eel's Robson who is years older, slower, lacks ideas and spark? A lotta heart sure, but so does Porter. we need to throw Chad in, he honestly cannot do anything but add to what we have...

Agree! Chad plays we win no questions asked.

And a stat I was unaware of is Chad has only missed 2 goal kicks all year.

f**k me sharks any other club in our position that was playing ordinary footy with a gun local halfback would have brought him up in no time. Salary cap my ass I'm sick of the club making excuses for their f**ked up decisions on the field

What's the real excuse here with Townsend...

Are we really not willing to stretch the salary cap and give the bloke a go? Or is there another reason?

Surely every other half has had their chance and not taken it, give the bloke a go and let him get a taste of what first grade is about this season.

Chad is having his first consistant season. He needs it to develop. I am sure there are indicators being looked at the gauge if he is ready. WE have pretty good luck at our club with the juniors we bring through. They all seem to stick.

agreed Reefy, his biggest issue was consistency but i don't think he has played below a 7/10 all year ... we're in week 12 now, that's gotta be close to ready in that sense.

We have been having a disastrous short kicking game that has consisted of misplaced bomb after misplaced bomb especially yesterday. There were many opportunities to roll a grubber into the in-goal to force a repeated set, but they persisted with the bomb. And Melbourne knew it was coming.

Townsend, from what I have seen, has a good short kicking game that is varied - and not repetitive. Why not give him a go?

Reefy, you praised Stuart for giving Albert Kelly a go last year (albeit out of position) - and Townsend has shown better form than Kelly was at the same stage. Get over you obvious favouritism with players (you have done nothing but bag Townsend whenever someone has suggested he be given a go) and observe we are virtually last on the ladder - AGAIN.

Townsend is the best 7 we have at the club, yet he is 4th in the pecking order.

If Andrew Dallalana can get a game in the 7 for us surely Townsend can

Flanno spent 10 years under Sticky.

Maybe he's developed Sticky's fear of young halves.

Sticky hates them with a passion.

so

last year after 12 matches we were 4-8. wins vs the eels, newcastle, the roosters and i think the eels again.
if we win this week...we will have equalled that stallar effort.
(Dragons, Panthers, Roosters, ??)

at what point do we chuck in the youngens and see what they've actually got?

bugger all point in continuing the same ratarded dance.

No he didnt.
The kid on debut, Jake Walsh blitzed them.
Apart from some sharp goal kicking, what did Chad do?
I agree, Chad should be in first, however I dont think yesterday was the day to do it.
Once Chads running game develops, i'm sure he will get a crack at firsts.

How come Porter isn't held to the same standard?

He needs to develop? how much more development does he need?

He has served his apprenticeship and is now being told in no certain terms "sorry Chad you are behind tim smith and Scott porter keep carving up the 20's and maybe some other coach will sign you...and by the way we have just tabled an offer for Robson...how does NSW cup sound for next year"

Oh and here's a quote from today's tele by supercoach talking about wade and scotts kicking game:

"they can both kick the ball, they just didn't kick well today"

f**kkkkin hell is this bloke serious? Wade hasn't had a good game with the boot yet and was why we lost to the knights...our coach is delusional

I'm not saying Walsh had nothing to do with the win but did you see chads passing game?

Natural halfback natural instincts
