Can of worms, there is so many loop holes the clubs can use and it is obviously benefitting the top three clubs. Add to that players being told its all legit , don't worry, wink wink.

The Andrew Gee saga showed just how toothless the nrl is when clubs wont cooperate.

The Broncos just gave them the middle finger.

NRL already said things like getting boots for free as part of a endorsement were not being counted

Yes, that's my point. (if you read original post on the matter)

This can run into tens of thousands.

Most clubs have a car or dealership sponsor so I’d say that’s exceptionally common. I remember when Benji and half the other Tigers were all driving brand new Protons.

They were only worth two bob so the whole first grade and state cup teams could have been given one and still come under the cap.

It used to be in the late 90's early 00's clubs had deals with boot companies where the entire club from 1st down to harold matts would be given at least a pair of boots for free, (Magpies had X Blades, Parra were Asics and Dogs were Nike) although the players could still wear their own if they preferred and had their own sponsorship deals.

What about things likes cars leases, free meals etc? That could run in the thousands per annum.

Potentially but all we know is that these were small non-cash deals that every player has access to. If it's a specific case, it could fall under a different umbrella.

Regardless, I still couldn't clubs exploiting it to the point that it would actually tempt players or wouldn't receive a cease and desist from the NRL.

That list is actually a great recruitment poster for Storm and Broncos! If I was a player hoping to attract TPA's on top of my salary I know which clubs Id be aiming to sign for. Its amazing how low some clubs are.

I'd love to live in your world, sounds like fun.

It's overrated, your world where players are driving around in lamborghinis and dining on kobe steak every evening sounds far more fascinating.
