Then again...

The possibility that Chelsea, currently third in the Premier League under the interim stewardship of Rafael Benítez, may not qualify for next year's Champions League had been mooted as a potential obstacle to the 50-year-old's return. While that would have serious implications for the club's attempts to balance the books ahead of the implementation of Uefa's financial fair play rules, sources close to the negotiations have suggested Mourinho would actually not be dissuaded from coming should the side finish outside the top four and be condemned to Europa League football. Indeed, he could consider it an even greater challenge.

I'm surprised one coach whose name hasn't been thrown around to land a PL job is Diego Simeone. He's doing wonders with Atleti.

Perhaps the whole Beckham incident has made English clubs reluctant to consider him?

Andy Carroll: Liverpool and West Ham agree £15m transfer fee

West Ham have agreed a fee with Liverpool for Andy Carroll but the England striker has yet to decide if he wants to join the Hammers permanently.

The London side will match Liverpool's asking price of around £15m, but the 24-year-old is unsure about the move ahead of a World Cup year.

It is understood interest from former club Newcastle United has cooled

Not sure what's funnier - Liverpool losing £20 million or West Ham paying £15 million...

Carroll still hasn't agreed to stay there yet

Shows that he's smarter than he looks. Which in itself is a good thing...

Andy Carroll isn't very good though, West Ham's the best he can probably do, although maybe he just wants to keep collecting his huge wage at Liverpool.

Love the avatar btw, that show was great.

Talk about a troll fail.. even if it is 15 mill

What did Torres cost? 50Mill and scored 8 goals in 36 appearances this season in the league for chelsea.

Pretty sure Carroll was 7 in 23 for West Ham for less than three times cash if he stays and even if he costs 15Mill..

But yes.. Lol @ liverpool, who are probably lol'ing at Chelsea for paying them 50mill for Torres

Voyeur has lost it

Reigning World, European, CL, EL and Euro Golden Boot holder Torres cost Chelsea $18 million in 2012-13, for 23 goals and a European cup. $782k per goal

Carroll cost West Ham $6 million for 7 goals. $857k per goal

The lengths minnows will go to console themselves...

They are denying interest, and the proposed fee seems to change depending what you read.

I got the feeling listening to his comments that he may be looking for something bigger..

Looks like he is injured for the next three months also.

2 things..

1. What the hell are you going on about?

2. Chelsea are a minnow who has won the lottery. They are still the Londons 3rd club despite have billions.

According to the UEFA rankings, we are England's top club

Holding both European trophies at the same time will do that...
