Transfer Rumour Mill

Whats wrong at Real Madrid?

Love to see Ozil in a Liverpool jersey..

When you have the corrupt money they have you just buy and sell like it isn't a problem.

Wage and CL football will probably stop him going to Liverpool. I'd imagine if he left he'd go to City/Chelsea or an Italian team who can meet those demands

I really hope we can get Sahin in the summer though.

The only thing Franco FC are good for is their yearly fire sale

Madrid fans booed Ronaldo after the latest loss to Barca.

It's tough being the 2nd best team on the planet, when the #1 team is arguably the greatest ever and is in your league and is winning all the trophies you'd be winning in any other league in the world.

Always ending up 2nd best would be tough for a collection of egos that big.

do you also believe in the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny ?
Last time I checked this thread is the "transfer rumour mill" thread. Not the "things BunniesMan would bet his house on happening" thread.

Therefor, I posted...transfer rumours. They could end up being true. They could just as easily be BS.

The reason I thought this was worth posting ahead of the other 10000 daily rumours is unlike most of them which are created in journos heads, it might just be coming from a place of truth.

A diva like Ronaldo would not like to be disrespected by his own fans. City will want a shiny new toy next summer. United will want the one player they lost in Fergies era that they didn't want to lose.

Ozil IMO was a poor buy. Not that he isn't good, he's a great player that I don't think fits Real's style. Liverpool need a playmaker.

And we need a top striker and if Real goes and buys someone ridiculous like Neymar, Benzema will be surplus to requirements there and an ideal fit for us.

In other words, they made logical sense. I'm not betting my house on them happening.

Like I said, he's a great player. But another equally talented but different sort of playmaker would be better for Real than Ozil. IMO Gotze would be perfect. Ozil is a great player but he'd make a better fit elsewhere.

Fantastic bit of dep regarding Ozil there by the Derpman.

Anyway, as the transfer window hasn't opened just yet, Ill post these here;
Gary Cahill ---> Chelsea pretty much confirmed
Junior Hoilett ---> Spurs
Pavlyuchenko, Dos Santos ----> out of Spurs
Striker ---> Spurs
And if Bassong leaves, new defender ---> Spurs

Vedran Corluka is off to Roma as well and I wouldn't be so sure about Hoilett .

Pienaar may go back to Everton on loan as well.

Didn't say anything about Hoilett being a lock, you have a problem with putting words in my mouth lately :p haha.
Seems like it will happen though, which is great. We need decent cover for Bale and Adebayor, which is why I'd be more than happy with Hoilett and a decent striker.

Tevez is reported to be on £250,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium - around four times what Spurs offer their top earners.
"I like him. He is a great player," Redknapp said.
"He is fantastic. A battler, a real talent, but we are not going to be able to get him.
"It's not happening. We are not pursuing it.
"The chairman won't put the club in trouble for one player. His wages would be astronomical."

geez Citeh are paying alot of wages fro Ade and Tevez, we're only paying Ade about 70K a week while they pay him about 110K, and obviously no one else can afford Tevez so they'll be stuck with him.

City reject Carroll-Tevez swap proposal

ESPNsoccernet understands Liverpool made "tentative enquires" to Manchester City about the possibillity of swapping Andy Carroll for Carlos Tevez.

GettyImagesRoberto Mancini was known to be an admirer of Andy Carroll when he was at Newcastle

The audacious move was made after the Carling Cup semi-final second leg between the two clubs at Anfield, with the Premier League leaders rejecting the proposal.
Carroll, 23, has struggled to make an impact since Liverpool made him the most expensive British footballer of all time last summer when signing him for £35 million from Newcastle.
Roberto Mancini has previously expressed his admiration for the England striker, when he played for the Magpies, which prompted the Merseysiders to ask if City would consider a swap deal.
But City have maintained throughout the long-running Tevez transfer saga that they will only accept a cash bid for their wantaway striker, and that stance was reiterated to the Reds.
"It didn't go any further than an enquiry," ESPNsoccernet sources said on Sunday.
Tevez's advisors have indicated that he plans to return to City's training ground on Wednesday, once the transfer window closes, though ESPNsoccernet understands City have yet to be informed precisely when the Argentina international plans to return.

The real big Del

August 29, 2012

Michael Cockerill

Italian superstar Alessandro del Piero is the man Sydney FC want to replace Nicky Carle as their marquee player, and the Sky Blues have already made an approach to the Juventus legend, voted by FIFA as one of the top 125 players in history.
Del Piero, 37, is the fourth-highest capped (91 games) Italian international of all-time, and played more games (513) for Juventus than anyone else before he pulled down the curtain on his illustrious career with the bianconeri after last season's Coppa Italia final in May.
Since then del Piero has been linked to moves to the Middle East, China, Argentina, the United States and Switzerland, but after two months as a free agent has yet to commit to a new club. This week's surprise departure of Carle to the United Arab Emirates has suddenly opened the door for the Sky Blues to enter the race for a player who would galvanise Sydney's notoriously fickle Italian football community in a heartbeat.
Del Piero, reportedly still in prime condition, would unquestionably be the biggest signing in A-League history. Such is his immense stature as a footballer, and an ambassador, that the Sky Blues could realistically expect several sell-out crowds at Allianz Stadium - something previous marquee stars Dwight Yorke and Juninho both failed to achieve.
''We're going to go for it as hard as we can,'' said chief executive Tony Pignata. ''The board is 100 per cent behind this. We believe he's the perfect marquee player.
''We've already made an approach to his management team, and we're waiting to hear back. This is not a gimmick, it's deadly serious. To get a player of his stature would be huge, and we know that.
''I can't say whether we'll be able to compete with whatever other offers he may have in a financial sense, but I do know playing over the summer, in a city like Sydney, gives us a real selling point.''

Apparently if the Del Piero deal falls through, SFC is looking at Joey Barton for a guest stint.

Berisha v Barton.

What a shame Muscat retired.

Apparently Sion has either withdrawn or been rejected. SFC is firming massively.

Not a Sydney supporter but will definitely be getting to the SFS for a few games this season if they can pull it off. Biggest signing ever in Australian Football history. Bigger than Rush, Yorke, Fowler, Kewell and even Puskas as Olympic coach.

No. He's likely to join Sydney FC. I love Ale but he's far too slow to play as a striker in England, and Spurs are looking for younger players.
