Information about Klopp
{Ed002's Note - I have no idea where he will end up, but right now Klopp is in the position of: (a) Does he take a year off and look at what will be available next summer - and there are scheduled to be some very good JOBS available then. (b) Does he take a coaching job he is not 100% committed to and see what is available next summer - but I think there is too much integrity in the man for this. (c) Does he take on a job with a club like Fenerbahce, Napoli, Liverpool or whoever, throw himself at it 100% and bide his time until the "right" job becomes available to him - and would the likes of Fenerbahce, Napoli or Liverpool be INTERESTED IN a MANAGER who wants to be elsewhere in the longer term. (d) Does he sit tight and hope that one of the clubs probably looking to change coaches next season opts to get him whilst they can. (e) Or will a little deal with Barcelona or Real Madrid suddenly come out of the blue?}
Certainly don't rule out Klopp to PSG, Barcelona or Real Madrid - all three jobs may well be available this summer – although he would not be first choice for either of the first two of those clubs, and he has mixed support in the third.
There is no doubt at all in my mind that Arsenal would look to Klopp to eventually succeed Wenger but the CHANCES of such a thing happening this summer is very slim.
The Manchester City job will probably be available but, whilst they will no doubt discuss him, he is not the manager they want. They have already talked with one other manager and the representatives of another regards an initial one year contract whilst they wait another season. The manager they spoke to will almost certainly reject such a deal. They would need a change of direction to make it happen, but it would not be totally out of the question.
Don't entirely rule out Klopp moving to a seemingly less attractive option: (a) Napoli - who will make an approach as soon as they can, but they already know that they probably cannot attract him and have a plan B in place. (b) Fenerbahce will offer a project and GOOD MONEY. Turkey and Germany have strong links and they are looking to put their case to Klopp. (c) Liverpool has a manager for now but that may change – however, their owners have been taking a measured approach via advise from third parties, and right now he may not be someone that they are considering, even if they do decide to make a change.
The likes of Marseille and West Ham will not sign Klopp.
An attractive option for Klopp would be Manchester United who will no doubt have also discussed him - but they too have someone else in mind for the longer term and the timing does not help under the current circumstances there.
