Don't know where that 'n' above came from :D

Anyway check the shortlist for African player of the year in2005:
Didier Drogba (Cote d’Ivoire – Chelsea, England)
Emmanuel Adebayor (Togo – Monaco, France) Now Arsenal
Marouane Chamackh ( Maroc – Bordeaux, France)
Michael Essien (Ghana –Chelsea, England)
Samuel Eto’O (Cameroon – Barcelona, Spain)

Can't be to bad a chap...

Yep he is a great player one of the reasons I like Monaco don't know if it was their wisest decision trading him for Vieri....

Yep, looks a good buy Jackal.

Also the guy they got from Auxerre blew everyone away apparently with his first training session. Looks a real good prospect.

Throw in the potential signing of Theo Walcott (Englands next BIG thing) and the Gunners have done well for the future.

Here's hoping Weasel :D

A number of other young stars will be at the club with him and they'll all come to the fore at a similar time. The next 'generation' out of Highbury, into Ashburton Grove (Emirates).

Not that he's done much for them since he left Anfield though...

Quincy - Arsenal to Spartak Moscow
Bentley - Arsenal to Blackburn

Jeremie Aliadiere (Arsenal) is heading to Wolves.

I was excited when he came to Celtic...but is going to start building on all the promise he has some time soon?

Georgio Samaras - Heerenveen > Man City

For 6 million pounds too...is this guy good? I've never heard of him. But hey for 6 million you'd wanna be pretty good!

I feel for this guy. He's got a lot of talent but is simply injury prone.

Just to add to that, he was at West Ham on loan. I hadn't heard of him going to Wolves...

Ah good, it's only a loan deal. I'm not real sure if he'll ever make it, but if he stays injury free I'd like to see how far he can go.

Arsenal snap up second teenage starlet
2006-02-15 15:19 (New York)

CANNES, France, Feb 15, 2006 (AFP) - Ailing English Premiership
giants Arsenal signed their second highly promising teenager within
a matter of weeks on Wednesday as they secured the services of
Frenchman Carl Parisio from thrid division side Cannes.
The 16-year-old defender impressed Arsenal during the Zidane
tournament last close season - named after another of the many
luminaries to have begun their careers at the club - and confirmed
his promise at another one in Mexico at the end of last year.
Unlike the 12 million pounds (21.6 million dollars) they had to
pay Southampton for 16-year-old striker Theo Walcott, Arsenal did
not have to pay Cannes a penny for Parisio but have promised to
compensate the French side for their development costs.
Arsenal will hope that Parisio is as influential for them down
the years as another product from Cannes was, midfielder Patrick
Vieira.

Very interesting...Arsenal do have the best eye for scouting.

Yeah been a long standing one that. Arsenal won't offer more than a 1 year contract to players over 30. It;s the only sticking point with him re signing.

Jose Mourinho is already looking to next season, Chelsea pretty much have Michael Ballack on the way but Mourinho also wants Carlos Tevez very good Argentine striker watch for him in the world cup (note to rafa: we should be signing this guy!!)

Van Nistelroy to Spuds, he is definately not happy at Old Trafford anymore.

Harry Kewell to Valencia is another one doing the rounds hope it isn't true but if it is I can live it.

Man U have been linked with pretty much every midfielder in Europe!

There will be plenty of rumours before and after the world cup. Most of which are just that, rumours.

Doubt Van Nist would go to another EPL side. Doubt Man U would sell him to one.

Kewell has already said that rumour is garbage basically.
