Well he hinted at it anyway

From soccernet -
Henry spoke to players, club officials and supporters over the intercom on the team's flight back to London from Paris.

He expressed his disappointment at the 2-1 defeat to Barcelona, thanked the team for their efforts and urged them to respond with character.

Henry, 28, said: 'We must pick ourselves up and make sure we come back stronger next year.'

The Arsenal captain stopped short of saying he will definitely sign the new four-year contract which has been on the table for weeks.
Any maybe Eto'o is coming to Arsenal -
He also spent time in deep conversation with Barcelona pair Eto'o and Ludovic Giuly as the players waited to receive their medals.

Eto'o said: 'It was our private little thing but I told him we will talk on the phone. I will call him. We are friends.'
I am joking.

Only a rumour at this stage...

Sol Campbell may be on his way to Fenerbahçe. 8m pounds is the rumoured price... Very good business. I like Sol, he's a good defender who had an injury plagued season. Was very good in the CL final, but there is a couple of handy (young) centre backs ready to take over. 8m for a 31 year old would be darn good business! Especially when they got him on a free :D

Fenerbahçe have poured cold water on that rumour.

Tomas Rosicky has apparently passed a medical and signed a contract at Arsenal (see thread I started). Good signing, I like him as a player. Will have to have a closer look in the WC now.

Daniel Alves to Liverpool, Brazilian right back that plays for Sevilla likes to attack a lot. I would prefer him over Kronkamp as a back up for Finnan.

We got him when he wa past his prime it is a pity though, I thought he was starting to find his feet near the end of the season.

Fernando Torres > Man U

http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/news/article1160916.ece

Fernando Torres Striker, 22 (Spain and Atletico Madrid)

Background: Has all the qualities to be one of the world's great strikers. There's one drawback - he plays for a club who, once again, have not qualified for the Champions' League. This summer seems the right time for Torres to move on and, because of his support of Atletico Madrid, he's likely to leave Spain. But he wants an extremely high salary to do so.

Price: £30m.

Suitors: Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs.

Prediction: Talk is United have already secured their man. Could be wearing Ruud van Nistelrooy's shirt on the first day of new season

The Torres to Man Utd thing does actually seem quite likely. He's said that he doesn't want to play for any other Spanish club and that he prefers the English game to the Italian (and considering what's going on in the Italian game at the moment, you probably won't see any big name going there for a while). Chelsea have been linked, but from the interviews that I've seen Torres seems like a very level-headed guy that wouldn't be happy to just sit on the bench and collect his paycheck.

Basically, I feel the ball is in our court. If Ruud does go, Fergie decides that he wants Torres to replace him, and we've got enough cash left over from whatever midfield signings we make, then I think we'll be seeing Torres in a Man Utd shirt next season. Liverpool with all their Spanish connections are the only danger I can see, but I doubt they have the money.

Actually, he probably wouldn't be wearing Ruud's #10 shirt. Torres loves his #9 (apparently he even has a tattoo of the number), so if we did sign him it would probably cause a bit of a reshuffle with either Saha moving to #10, or Rooney to #10 and Saha to a higher squad number. So if anybody wants to get a jersey with one of their names and numbers on it, I'd wait until the squad numbers are announced.

Id love to see Torres playing in the EPL, sure it might not be with the reds, but i can cope with him being the opposition cause he is great to watch.

I'll Never Go Back To United
Cristiano Ronaldo is determined never to play for Manchester United again in the wake of his part in Portugal's World Cup victory over England. Although the winger has seen his hopes of a move to Real Madrid dashed by Juan Migel Villar Mir's failure to win the presidential election at the Bernabeu this week, he remains intent on leaving Old Trafford. Aware that a large percentage of United supporters will never forgive him for his part in Wayne Rooney's sending-off in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday, the 21-year-old has decided to cut his losses.
Ian Ladyman, Daily Mail

This may not be good for the reds

Marcello Lippi has been linked to Man U

From the Reds Website...

Fergie Gets Lippi
Marcello Lippi is being lined up to join Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Italy boss Lippi has told friends he will quit after Sunday’s World Cup final. He is now being linked with a role alongside Old Trafford chief Fergie. And that could see him eventually succeed the Scot. Fergie is a long-standing friend and huge admirer of the former Juventus manager. Ferguson, 64, is expected to relinquish the reins after 20 years in charge at the end of the coming season. Italian sources believe Lippi, 58, could either work in tandem with the United supremo or under him - with Fergie promoted to general manager.
