Merrin didn't run in. He was standing looking at Young and Farrell tripped him up (accidentally). Merrin obviously thought Farrell tried to trip him deliberately, and gave him a shove. Then Farrell leaped up, forgetting all about his supposed concern for Young. Both of them are idiots. Then we had the charge of the light brigade as 4 souffs dickheads ran in and trampled Young trying to get to Merrin.
As Bwaith would say - You're off ya f**kin head!
Dylan was simply trying to get Merrin in a better position to engage in CPR post haste. Dylan's hand was raised simply in a gesture to intone the divine intervention of the almighty to come to the aid of the stricken Young. This is clearly the beginning of what should become a game wide movement to petition the Vatican for the canonisation of Autralia's second saint.
The future Saint Dylan of Homebush should be applauded for his humanitarian efforts to not move himself from under the prostrate body of his fallen combatant comrade. Unable to administer the kiss of life himself because of his situation he merely tried to encourage Merrin to do so. Merrin, clearly an advocate for Lucifer himself, tried to sabotage this eventuality by savagely and brutally, and with malice aforethought, pushing Dylan in the ribs!! Can you belive that, the brute!
All that is now required is for the humble and angelic Dylan to be seen to perform a number of miracles to proceed with the canonisation process. I think that we can all agree that being part of a Souths team that makes the 8 would undoubtedly constitute the first such miracle. If they make they top 4, a second miracle would be witnessed by all and sundry. A 21st Premiership after 41 long years of waiting would be the equvalent a the biblical 40 days and nights in the desert and would clearly represent a triumverate of miracles.
The outcome would be indisputable, and the arrival of Saint Dylan of Homebush would be welcomed joyously by all of the RL faithful!!
Of course it could just be that both Farrell and Merrin are bonehead footy players, but I'm a man of faith so here's hoping.
