(i.e. losing Luciano, buying Merrin, retaining Aitken and Lafai, Grahams problems, JDB still coming to training every day, no wingers, no full back, etc)
Will serve one very important purpose.
It will ensure a Termination (hopefully, in the early stages) of the comp of Paul McHopeless.
The only prob for us is we have to wait.

I see it a little differently. If Merin comes to the Dragons or not, it should have no bearing on what happens to Leilua. The obvious move would be to keep Leilua and move Frizell to lock if De Belin becomes unavailable. Millward needs to think a little outside the square and plan for action in the year before key player's contracts are about to end.

When it comes to spending salary cap, Merin should be a replacement for a retiring Graham and so, if Graham is not retiring than then there is no case for recruiting Merin.

merrin should play prop BUT we know supercoach thinks hes a lock so theres the JDB replacement , when merrin needs a break luke on at hooker cam drops back to lock . wow what a game plan ..
What if jack is found innocent ( lets hope) where does merrin fit in now ?? ( supercoach wouldnt have thought that far ahead and hey thats an assisstants problem )
Now if Merrin gets to replace latimore at prop where does that leave KERR .. supercoach has said that he is a starting prop when he achieves everything coachy requires but if merrin comes in over the top then roadblock and maybe kerr joins the exodus of leaving disgruntled players .. I would be surprised if merrin would come back for under 350 or a 2 year deal where we pay overs for year 2 .. so we cant afford merrin id rather a centre to put pressure on our 2

We all know McGregor is a dead set poor coach and he has no plan or plan B

Merrin as an insurance for Graham seems the logical reason given what is said in this article from the NRL. Jamma is having a history of concussions now and if forced into time out an experienced prop in the rotation makes sense.

Yes. Agree with Possum and Gareth. Can someone please explain why LL needs to be let go. Replacing someone whose best years are in front of him with someone whose best years are behind him (Merrin). I sure hope he is not coming with his Penrith price tag.

Im in the middle of decision of your POST.Merlin i think would be an upgarde over luch as i have written my opinion about luch..slow defence line no push up...BAD DEFENDER.cant have any weakness in defence in 2020.
Merlin on the other hand has so so much experience and i seen him today on that post of him and he looks way the fitter smarter person in 2015...i thought he was older hes only 30 hes prime is now whith his experience. 3 yrs off merrin would be perfect he can slot back into his old 13 jersey back before JDB days.

Ive completely changed my mind about Merrin pls bring him back i was think back to 08 to 2011 bennet era we where peaking...Dell dancing putting on a parade before match...knowing we where the shit...love his pride and the jersey and that era evryone repected playingbfor the red V.. And i think of Merrins contributions over them yrs..obviously the super league and experience now. I will die if we dont get him back now poor Mez pls read anf come home buddy. Also he is such a smart forward and not one out take ball up.Like Graham he has a Ball game. We need as Many playmakers in the Squad as we have holes in alot of other positions.
A specialist lock is what we need as jdb case. Hes by far our best option...leuilua hsant got the minutes in him hes to unfit SIMPLE.
Merrin even when he was tubby always played long minutes he loved wearing the jersey. Hes a real Saint
