The lower grades
The NYC side won 26-22. It sounds like a close game, but the Knights went out cold as ice and gave away 18 points in the first 20 minutes, then clicked into gear and scored 26 points while totally dominating before Cronulla gat a try with a minute to go.
The guy who started at hooker had some good moves, but he didn't have any organisational skills, and the side didn't click till Tyne Owen came on and got them organised.
Marty Paulson started at halfback and he looked a bit nippy when running, but he threw maybe 5 or 6 dreadful passes behind guys and broke down attack after attack. Burraston didn't look half as good running with the ball, but he threw good passes and did a few brilliant kicks.
Callan Richardson looked back to 2006 form, and Simon Williams was fabulous but injured himself late in the game. Issacs looks like a bigger, faster version of Williams, but he isn't as strong and doesn't have the same brilliant handling.
Dobbins played strongly for 60 minutes or so and looks bigger and harder. He is becoming a Simmo clone.
Edwards played good minutes and pulled off some bell ringers.
Wyborn is much bigger and could be the big improver.
