Walsh was listed as fit and ready to play.

He ran out for PL, while Scott played NRL.

Walsh had had four weeks full prep before the Warriors trial.

You may be right, Scott probably wont see first grade over the first few rounds.

Be that as it may, Mullen will shift to 5/8 after a month, and Scott is our first pick halfback, then daylight.

Walsh might be listed as fit to play now, but the reality is he missed pretty much the entire offseason training - which was especially important for Luke Walsh as the club had a specific programme set for him to bulk up for the rigours of first grade.

He had a disrupted preseason and whether or not he is listed as " fit " now, he is behind everyone else at this stage of the season, and about 6-7kg lighter than the Knights had hoped him to be at.

If Dureau plays first grade in the first 4 weeks for any reason other than injury, then of course I'll be wrong.

And if he doesn't?

I guess we will all forget what I said then hey? Just because I am in the minority of opinion.

I sure as hell won't hold any hope that people here will admit they were wrong.

I'll be the first to admit I am if Dureau plays more first grade this year than any other combination.

Closer to the club than anyone here would ever realise. :p

Anyway, I'm done talking about Dureau and their pre season.

Lets all just wait and see.

yeah stalker macavity! you got me pinned on that one  You're in good form.

Sounds like thats more Roopy...

Its completely impossible to have a minority opinion in here without being crucified by the clique - even if that minority opinion is way more informed than the guesswork that goes on in here with the majority of others people. I mean McManus is a centre all of a sudden for some people, and Wes is a State Of Origin player.

Its pointless trying to converse with anyone in here who isn't a die hard red and blue through and through one eyed view.

Sure! Added with a decent sense of realism and common sense hopefully...

I admire die hards - it breeds loyalty.

Crucifying a person for telling it like it is though isn't real smart.

It's probably better that some people are just left in this Knights forum so that they can discuss the team in their own little fantasy land with dreams of success in 2008 with a team " that can win the competition ".

After all, some people here will have to start discussing who is going to fill in for Wes Naiqama when he plays State Of Origin this year

You said that yesterday. Covered all your bases in this post eh?

Which option is it the first one or the second, I think you mean in any combination don't you?

In all fairness mate there was only 1 person in here who suggested Wes would play Origin and FYI Jimmy played all of his junior time at centre and in the trial against the Warriors so its not so far fetched.

I admit some on this forum have been pretty harsh in reaction to your posts but to be honest you havnt made it easy on yourself either.

Yeah because from day one people initially thought I was former Knights employee Brad, and then since then after they realised that wasn't correct ( still never received an apology about that from anyone ), they think I'm my cousin - a former forum member many years ago

It's just bullsh*t.

There's been an anti Karmawave sentiment from day one all because of misconceived pre conceptions that are laughable.

Its a personal attack thing it seems from some...

karmawave - the problem is you toot your horn as though it is the only valid opinion, and provide no evidence other than subtle allusions that you may have inside info from somewhere in the club. this only harms your credibility btw. unless you actually name a source or explain how you are closely related to the club - it means jack. i use pika as an example. we know how he is related to the club, and thus any info that he is kind enough to share with us holds considerable weight considering his involvement with training etc.

another thing that isn't helping your cause is that you pigeon hole the the rest of the forum into the opinions of one or a few. only 1 person really believes that Wes is a chance at origin, and there arn't many people in here (if any?) that honestly believe we can win the competition either.

if your minority opinion is so valuable and accurate then you should either explain why, or shut up. most of us (the vast, vast majority) are just expressing our opinions based on what evidence we do have - and in some cases a great many of us agree. what you've failed to see yet is that most of us have our disagreements on certain issues at times. i'm pretty sure i've disagreed with just about everyone on here at some stage.

-edit- i'd just like to add that being correct with your opinions will also increase your credibility... but it will be over time - not instant. you can't just appear on a forum and expect to have limitless credibility despite not explaining why you should have it. -/edit-

See above...

What's the point in naming names in here when people are convinced you're someone you arent?

Anyway, I welcome active debate, but the personal agendas that seem to arise in here - namely when I have given across insight into the feelings of Smith towards certain players - is just a bit too obvious and I'm unsure how open minded debate can ever truly happen on here ( with me at least )
