I would much prefer to see Mullen as the 6, I think both Walsh and Dureau are better number 7's than him.

What I mean Dear Antonius, is if the players are fully fit, and injuries play no part in decisions, then it is my belief that Dureau will play less games of first grade football this year than Bailey, Mullen or Walsh - as individuals.

Sorry for the confusion

completely moot point tbh.. when was the last time we had an injury free year in the halves?

injury is almost certain to play a part in almost every position on the field... and by saying this you've virtually guarenteed that if and when dureau does get a run in first grade then you'll be able to wheel out this line.

well done.
Exactly my point (all bases covered)Anyway we don't want to discuss this anymore do we my dear? LOL.

exactly right.
mullen has grown up playing 5/8. why is he all of a sudden a halfback?

The role of the 5/8 IMO is not to have a controlling organizing role as the halfback does, but to have less touches, but sweet touches.
should be quick, good step, reasonably nuggety, and nice short and long passing game.
mullen fits that description perfectly. a pefect example of this is Benji Marshall. Lockyer imo is really playing alot more like a halfback, with great support.

a halfback should be constantly organising doesnt really need any great speed (however of course its handy). halfback should have up to 4 touches in a set and no less then 2 per set.
luke walsh/dureau are natural halfbacks have grown up doing just that.
