Your obsession with the bail act is obfuscation. It's clear from the posts made in response to you by others that he was taken into police custody and wouldn't have cleared police bail requirements. He may well be granted bail by a magistrate.

Re your 8% stat, I'm not sure you understand how the onus of proof works. You don't just get to send a link to a 17-tab excel document and say "its in there". Tell me where, I'm not doing your dirty work for you.

As for you lecturing others on telling people what their attitude is or isn't -

Perhaps look in your own backyard first. I have no intent to lynch or judge Sailor. I've simply stated I believe victims should be believed. The majority of charges result in a conviction according to the stat you claim is in BOSCAR (and has so far taken about 6 posts to even give a general location of, let alone find it).

As for "when did I disbelieve her?" - your continual run at the fact there have been false claims in the past is fairly stark.

How is that obfuscation? TSF is correct in saying that TS should not be held. Whether he is guilty or not, what he's pointing out is clear and valid. Also his point doesn't equate to him siding with a sex offender in any way.

Best leave the arguing to the adults.

Very serious stuff. These sort of things take a long time to clear up....I'd say his footy career is over, even if cleared.

estimate about 2 years, like JDB, Haynes, cases ,career it cant be over, without a conviction, calm down
wow, that makes this serious crime even more serious
you mean serious allegations,
nothing proven yet, they need proven in court evidence, not just accusations, hearsay
at the moment no crime has been proven, or committed, or convicted

Is there any damming evidence that cannot be scrutinised, like a video or audio recording?

His lawyers will say she took the sedative herself.

I'd like to know what sort of sedative it was. If it was a diazepam then there would need to be a prescription. This type of drug is often prescribed to people with serious psychiatric problems.

How can you have a sedative in your system without knowingly taking it?

Unless it was laced in a meal or drink, but even then it would need to be crushed up and detectable by taste.

Rising NRL star Tristan Sailor has been accused of drugging a 24-year-old woman at Bondi's Beach Road Hotel before raping her at her house in what police have described as a 'planned and predatory' incident.

The 22-year-old, who is the son of NRL legend Wendell Sailor, was charged with aggravated sexual assault following the alleged incident last weekend.

Sailor, who is set to be released by St George Illawarra at the end of the season, was arrested in Wollongong on Saturday.

Wollongong Court on Sunday heard the alleged victim was unknowingly administered a 'sedative'.

The court heard the woman texted Sailor the next morning asking if they had sex

The court heard the woman texted Sailor the next morning asking if they had sex.

'What happened last night?' the woman messaged the day after the alleged incident, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

'Sorry I had to go, how are you feeling today?' Mr Sailor responded.

'Tristan I don't remember anything after the Uber to mine, need to know for peace of mind, what happened - did we have sex?' she allegedly replied.

'Sorry I was out. We were playing drinking games and yes we did have sex I asked you and [victim's friend] so everything was sweet. I pulled out and everything so it was sweet,' he allegedly wrote back.

Sailor's barrister Richard Pontello SC argued the text exchange proved his client's innocence.

Police allege the sedative was found in the woman's blood stream, and she denies ever knowingly taking the substance.
Mr Pontello argued the woman could have been drugged by 'dozens of people' given she was drinking at the busy Beach Road Hotel prior to going home with Sailor.

Sailor was released on strict conditional bail.

His mother Tara walked him out of court into a waiting media pack, before the pair were picked up by Wendell Sailor in a black car.

'Police will allege in court that the man sexually assaulted the woman, during which she sustained injuries, at a home in Sydney's south last Saturday,' police said in a statement.

The NRL have since stood the young star down under their no-fault policy, invoked last year after the game's summer from hell.

It means even if he attracts the interest of another club, he won't be able to return to the field until his court case is complete.

The 22-year-old playmaker (front), who is the son of Wendell Sailor (centre back), remains part of the Dragons club until his contract expires on October 31

'The game has the strongest stance in Australian sport on these matters,' chief executive Andrew Abdo said.

'The no-fault stand down rule ensures the automatic stand down of a player on a no-fault basis when they are charged with a serious criminal offence.

'The player is not contracted to play in the NRL next season and will not be permitted to play while he remains subject to serious criminal charges.'

'The club is taking the matter very seriously and will continue to work with Tristan and all relevant authorities,' the Dragons said in a statement.

'While Tristan won't be at the Dragons in 2021, the club will continue to provide any necessary welfare support as he comes to terms with the matter.'

Sailor has had five games at the Dragons since making his debut in late 2019 before being told last month he would not be re-signed.

Sailor was granted strict conditional bail on Wollongong Court on Sunday

A former Queensland under-20s player, he was expected to attract plenty of interest from clubs once further details of next year's salary cap and roster numbers were finalised.

The 22-year-old playmaker remains part of the Dragons club until his contract expires on October 31.

His arrest came on a chaotic day for the NRL.

Parramatta centre Michael Jennings had earlier been stood down for returning a positive test to performance-enhancing drugs, just hours before the Eels' semi-final against South Sydney.

Jennings denies the allegations.

It also comes just weeks before fellow Dragons player Jack de Belin is set to defend aggravated sexual assault charges levelled against him in a Wollongong court.

*JDB was an established NRL player who was in his prime. If cleared, he absolutely resumes his NRL career.
*Hayne will not play NRL again regardless of the court outcome. Age and sponsors won't want to have a bar of him.

Sailor has a lot of things going against him. He is not an established first grader. He has barely played footy this year and may not play footy for a couple of years yet. Odds are very much stacked against him playing professional rugby league.

None of us were there so it's best we don't judge either party. Let the police investigate. If he's found guilty of said accusations, lock him up. If she made it up to get back at him for something, lock her up.
With this:

League player bailed on sex assault charge
By AUSTRALIAN ASSOCIATED PRESS

PUBLISHED: 12:32 AEDT, 11 October 2020 | UPDATED: 13:52 AEDT, 11 October 2020

Out of police custody and soon to be out of contract, NRL player Tristan Sailor must return to court in December charged with aggravated sexual assault.

The 22-year-old faced Wollongong Local Court on Sunday after being held in cells overnight.

The St George Illawarra player is the son of former Wallabies and Kangaroos star Wendell Sailor, and was charged on Saturday after an alleged offence last weekend involving a 24-year-old woman.

Lawyer Richard Pontello SC confirmed to AAP that his client Sailor was granted conditional bail on Sunday and his case had been adjourned until December 3.

Sailor, whose contract with the Dragons officially ends on October 31, offered repeated "no comment" as he left court on Sunday, accompanied by mother Tara and collected by dad Wendell.

Police have provided some detail of the October 3 allegations.

"Police will allege in court that the man sexually assaulted the woman, during which she sustained injuries, at a home in Sydney's south," the force said in a statement.

The NRL have stood down Sailor under their no-fault policy.

It means even if he attracts the interest of another club, he won't be able to return to the field until his court case is complete.

"The game has the strongest stance in Australian sport on these matters," chief executive Andrew Abdo said.

"The player is not contracted to play in the NRL next season and will not be permitted to play while he remains subject to serious criminal charges."

The Dragons didn't make the 2020 season finals and the club has offered support to Sailor despite his impending contract expiry.

"While Tristan won't be at the Dragons in 2021, the club will continue to provide any necessary welfare support as he comes to terms with the matter," a club statement read.

Sailor has had five games at the Dragons since making his debut in late 2019 before being told last month he would not be re-signed.

His arrest comes at a chaotic time for the NRL.

Parramatta centre Michael Jennings was on Saturday stood down for returning a positive test to performance-enhancing drugs. He denies the allegations.

Dragons player Jack de Belin is also set to defend aggravated sexual assault charges in court over coming weeks.

I cannot see how a person can be slipped a prescribed sedative without knowing it. I've taken a diazepam before. It made me very drowsy and I knew it was in my system. It didn't make me forget everything.

The story hasn't said what sort of sedative it was. If it was the one rapists use then the alleged victim wouldn't remember anything. But, if it was that drug, why was he released on bail and why wasn't its name mentioned?

My point is that after you astutely pointed out that we should let the police investigate, you’re now giving an amateur analysis of evidence that hasn’t been reported.
