Honestly it doesnt look all that different to how australian pitches have always looked on day 1. What do people want here. Its insanity that the west indies bowled first anyway on the mcg but that was the call they made.

I just think the windies are rubbish.

The Windies are indeed rubbish, I was going to ask whether there was any rationale to bowling - historically batting first works in Australia, and on the current highways even moreso - seems bizarre

Are you watching this test. What do you want from this pitch. Its pretty green (for an australian pitch). You arent going to get swinging greentops down here because of the weather but this pitch looks fine. Hobart was also a fair pitch.

I will bet you one australian dollar that hazlewood and pattinson get some movement out the pitch.

Guptil's continued selection in the test team drives many kiwi cricket fans up the wall. Problem is he's 2015 leading odi run scorer. So the selectors see talent to persist with in tests.
