Seriously we're going to get to 2017 and still only have 1 game live on FTA each week, that is the hardest aspect of this deal to swallow
dont worry 99% of NRL fan will be shaking their head when they wake up in couple years  fk embarrassing

What would have happened if the ARLC said it wanted more live games and HD and stand alone orign and fixed schedules and more.....then all the networks said no? or said they'd pay $250 million?

Georges predictions.
2016.
Memberships all across the board will be noticeably increased.
Tickets all across the board will be increased.
Country/grass roots rugby league still in shambles, the media still reporting it.
People will continue to rant and rave about the state of the game with channel 9/fox still dictating terms (sorry wally had to steal that one).
Broncos still getting majority friday night games.
The usual suspects will still be in the same boat they are in now financially.
families will not go to football games because of how much it costs.
Crowds on monday night football still bad.

All of these things which you claim "we are not worse off" if we keep up with whats being delivered for the next 5 years which is what today has shown we will, if we stay stuck here, compared to where we COULD be. We are worse off.
George has had enough.

All players in cotton uniforms.

The fixed schedule is a huge win as well. Memberships will rise as more people can prepare in advance. A lot of work places make it difficult to organise leave short term.

other than the game coverage channel 9 cintinually run stories that run the game into the ground, if they get an exclusive that no one else knows about then they should put it to bed for the betterment of the game, but instead they put the boot in, take the Brett Seymour incident for instance, channel 9 has the footage that no one else does, but what do they do with it, full national coverage, instead they should of destroyed it and one less controversy, but thats channel 9 for you and it is not an Isolated incident either.they will continue to rape our game

I haven't seen that footage mate. I only watch footy and cricket on FTA. Why watch ACA and give them breath? People are too interested in that stuff for them to stop.

Exactly. If Grant came out and said 10 had the rights and would show 4 games a week live for 800m twice as many would be pissing and moaning about it.

AFL trolls would of laughed at us.
People would cry blue murder that we have similar TV coverage as the AFL but $300million less cash than them.

Shit would be a lot worse than now.

No idea what Shark's fans are complaining about. The huge increase in cash is going to keep your club in the competition for another 5 years.

Yeah, but it will restrict movement eventually.
This isnt baseball.
All it will do is stop this tight jersey fitting and bring back the long and baggy jerseys which will make it easier to tackle/grab.

Perhaps were the only ones who can see past money.

A poor decision - the same probelms with Channel 9 and the game will remain.

I really thought the commission would reallly make the best decision for the game. How wrong I was.

We're not getting anywhere with this, lets both compromise and go with Goretex.
