Serbia beating Russia is very unexpected.
I thought Russia has had junior comps going for a very long time and a lot of juniors playing, and Serbia far fewer juniors and only for a few years.

Yes, great result for Serbia, and very unexpected, maybe it's a sign of the times Roopy. Or maybe the travelling distance meant Russia couldn't send their top players.

Hopefully they're now ready to take on the English.

if they get within 30 of England i will be surprized and delighted - but stranger things happen in juniors.
Serbia could have a Jarrod Mullen - he blitzed the schoolboy ranks almost singlehandedly.

That must put a big smile on the faces of many Serbia junior team coaches.

Pass on a congratulations to all those involved Jovan and Dorcol.

I didn't see too many slavi names in the Euro team :).

One czech winger was it?

Good result for the Euro Celts over the Scots.

Big game for them next against France. They'll do well to keep within 20 points.

The question remains as always in these Euro tournaments, who is playing for England? Have they sent an ammatuer team, or the best possible England under 16 team with players aligned to the top clubs?

great photography.

Seems also that there are a fair few Czech boys in the Euro Celts team, which is great to see. Either that or there are a few Welsh fellas with Eastern Euro heritage.

absolutely no reason an aussie and kiwi under 16s could not go to the next one.
The Mathews comp was over weeks ago.
