Well i'm not saying again why he said Chelsea should win.

Wilkins i don't like. At least with some pundits they offer an opinion, whether you agree or not.
Wilkins is very bland and offers zero to the sports coverage.

He isn't the worst, in the UK that would probably be Jim Beglin or Craig Burley. Merson runs them close.

Phil Thompson is alright on anything but Liverpool, Dixon is good on anyone but City. Hansen is normally quite fair, as it Lawrenson. Souness is good because he doesn't care who he upsets and just says it how it is.

Martin O'Neill was very good although he only comes out for the big tournaments, Strachan is also alright.

Fair enough. Wilkins is a knob and dead set annoying.
I'm too used to Martin Tyler and Alan Smith from Fifa lol.

I hope that's the video where Zelic says Kompany and Lescott are the worst defensive pair in the CL and the host says "worse than the Romanian's?" lol!!

Zelic is a dog. Hate that prick for walking out on the national.

Give us the ingredients, shut up dickhead its not master chef

Zrilla was up to his old tricks in the first leg of the Porto match.

Pregame, it was "Barry, de Jong, and Yaya Toure? 3 DMs? Typical defensive Eye-tie!

Halftime: ZOMG Toure is so attacking!

Problem with a lot of pundits is that they don't actually watch the game — they just say something really banal or cliched and be done with it. I watched the Liverpool/United match with the Fox Sports commentary team and you know what they did the whole (and I mean, the whole) game when they weren't on air? f**k around on Twitter. I'm actually surprised they knew who scored.

I don't bother with Fox anymore. The only ones who watch football are ESPN crew and they actually have to because they commentate the games. It says a lot when ESPN are the best.

I am a fan of Francis though, un ashamedly bias Sydney United fan though but he played for 3/4 of the NSL anyway

Zelic is funny because he's a moron he went on a tirade calling Ribéry and Evra whinges about the French WC debacle and I'm thinking, wtf? He walked out on te national team because of the coach at a time when we needed all hands on deck.

That's the rubbish we're subjected to here. Turn on Fox and Robbie bags everything because he's a wanna be shock jock, Bozza has his crack head laugh and Peacock  less said the better.

It's no different for RL and cricket though, amateur hour every where.

If Tommy Smythe retires or goes to another broadcasting station I'd be singing the praises of ESPN.
I'm used to him because he commentates on most Madrid games I see but....well, yeah.

I have already explained why he would be saying Chelsea should win.

A UK journo will never say:
Chelsea are rubbish and should lose.
Oh look they were rubbish, never mind. Onto the next story.

That would not fill up the 24 hour sports news channel they have will it.

Much better to say that Chelsea should win as when they don't you have something to talk about.

Its that simple.

To say he hasn't watched Chelsea is stupid, to say he has done no research on Napoli especially given that they have already played City this year is stupid. Both view points deserve no further discussion.

The Napoli defence was rubbish, so with a bit more quality they could of scored more goals. Its not rocket science but its not wrong either.

As for the bit about Cavani and Levezzi, well yeah it is that easy.
Napoli are not the best team in the world and he HIMSELF has played in defences wear they have had to play teams with more than two attacking threats and handled it fine.

Just because no one at SBS has the football knowledge to say how this is done, doesn't mean it can't be. In fact who are the SBS experts that think two attackers cannot be handled by a top team?

The fact that Chelsea failed to do it, again adds a another discussion to the game. Which is what Sky and the media need.

We are going around in circles so I will agree to disagree. Neville is terrible and in no way insightful. You would think playing at the top level for so many years these guys would be able to give you a bit of insight to how a game is won. Not a chance.

Anyway, you mentioned that Napoli's defense is not great and should be able to breached by a top side. I tend to agree but the point is Chelsea aren't a top side. And to say they only have two players who would be good enough to play in the EPL (Neville's words) is just ridiculous. Along with Cavani and Lavezzi, Hamsik, Gargano, Inler and Maggio would all walk into the Chelsea side this year and are certainly at a better standard than your average EPL team (again, Neville's words not mine).

And did you really mention Graeme Souness? FFS he is even worse than Neville.

Ok we'll leave it there then.

If you don't agree with someone they are clearly terrible. But thats ok.

I'll listen to Nev. You can keep your SBS boys.

The world can keep turning!! :D

On the plus side, they do have Mel McLaughlin...

Les Murray is a legend. I know he's not exactly a commentator, but he's the one that comes to mind when I think of SBS...

SBS lost it when Johnny Warren passed on.

I'm reading Paul Merson talked shit about Napoli as well. Said Cavani was decent, Napoli weren't good and Chelsea will win 3/4-0

Milan are playing TERRIBLE! No player looks like he wants to be out there. 3-0 HT, should be a decent second half....
