Are you guys gonna park the bus in an away semi against another team that wears red and blue on Thursday?

Probably not

I'd say the lads would be keen to bag an away goal, given that we're not playing last year's Barcelona

LOL and you think I'm bitter? I can't believe Chelsea fans still go on about this and always forget to mention the penalty Titi should have got in the first leg or the red card Abi got in the 2nd.

Barca were ordinary this year? I'm looking forward to seeing Chelsea play in their semi and see how they go. Oh wait, they are in Europa....nevermind.

The performance by Ovrebo was the worst of all time in the champions league. Its not just Chelsea fans who will tell you that. Im just glad a few years down the line Barca copped some similar decisions in a semi final. I only wish that they actually made a difference in the tie like they did in 2009. However because Barca were so poor the decisions were not crucia and really dont affect who went through to the final like in 2009 when Chelsea were the better side. We got our revenge in 2012 due to the disgrace of 2009.

Barca consistently cop shocking decisions more than any other side in the Champions League.

They should have had a penalty in that 1st leg vs Chelsea. They received an unfair red card in the 2nd leg. And yes, that tie as a whole - particularly the 2nd leg - was the worst officiated game ive ever seen as Chelsea had 3 blatant penalties turned down.

But in the semi vs Inter a few years back Inter scored from a blatant off-side in the 1st leg which proved the difference. This year against Milan they scored a goal off a blatant handball in the 1st leg.

PSG were gifted the most absurd offside goal of all-time in the 1st leg of the Qtr final. And now two more shockers in this game.

It seems to happen almost every major te to Barca.

As for the future, the defense needs a complete overhaul. Pique is a plonker. Needs to go. As does Alves. They flat out need a new RB and two central defenders. Hummels would be a good start.

The midfield also needs more pace and power. Xavi and Busquets get consistently overrun these days. Which comes back to points previously made in this thread...perhaps the game has gone past Barca. Maybe they need to tweak their philosphy a little.

Also some help up top is needed for Messi. Pedro has been average this year. Villa is inconsistent and Sanchez isn't up to it. Neymar is a must.

So yeah, MASSIVE changes needed.

I still have faith in Piqué, I think he just needs a good solid parter, Alves has to go, he has good highlight reel moments but overall he's a liability in defence and extremely wasteful in attack. I'd give Song a few more opportunities in midfield, I think he can add abit more physicality and aggression than Busquest and I think Cesc has overtaken Xavi. Up front I'd love to see someone with abit of size, not necessarily a giant but just someone with good technical ability who's got enough height to offer something in the air (like Henry and Eto'o use to). Cristian Tello needs to play more, he's not as technically gifted as some of the others but he's got blistering pace, is a good finisher and plays direct and backs himself.

Bayern has won only 2 of its last 9 against BVB. Great chance for the Schwarz und Gelb to win their 2nd European Cup.
