Typical, the irish company Setanta have just gone into administration and going off air tonight ! Their timing is immaculate,so no origin or nrl for anybody in the uk unless somebody knows of an internet link ?

shame, i hoped they would become a strong sports Pay TV force and challenge for Rl rights there by pushing up the price.

devestating news mate,we've had nrl for nearly 10 years now but i doubt anything can be done to save it for this season and we need to xross our fingers that it gets picked up next year but no idea who has the rights now, receivers presumably

This has just ruined tomorrow for me. I am working a dream job where I can watch the NRL while working and was all pumped for 10.30am. I guess the Panthers v Dogs game will be the last footy I see at work

Not since the invention of porn will the internet have so many people bombarding computers in the UK with one hand on the keyboard

I know I am new here, but I was really pumped for this - any links would be lovely, but I know I have no right to expect any with my grand total of 3 posts.

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum. Absolutely gutted that Setanta have gone into administration. I was really into the NRL and actually prefer it to Super League over here as i think the rugby is of better quality. I really hope Sky or any other channel available through our sky dish take up the rights. I'm sure some tv company will put their money where their mouth is, i think it's just a case of when rather than if.

apparently and i can't guarantee it if you get setanta thru sky you may be able to access setanta ire thru ch 430 and they have origin scheduled for tomorrow. the nrl matches have finished though so it remains to be seen if they'll get picked up but its a faire way into the season and the nrl will rpobably want to renogotiate a new deal.

I do sort of have access to setanta ireland through sky but a lot of programmes are available in the Republic of Ireland only. Plus i only have that limited access to Setanta Ireland because of my subscription to Setanta Sports itself. Once Setanta goes off air, my subscription will be invalid so i'm 99% sure i won't be able to receive Setanta Ireland period as i couldn't receive the channel before i subscribed to Setanta.

Its a pity Rugby League isn't as popular over here in England as that so called other 'sport', football. Football seems to be snapped up within minutes whereas with so called 'lesser sports', fans aren't thought of in the same way. Shame really.

Supply and demand. I for one am glad that ESPN has snapped up the rights Setanta had for the EPL. But from the sound of things, Setanta had horrible customer service in the UK, so don't let the door hit you on your way out Irish boys.

Setanta's customer service was truly lamentable.
As i understand it they started the company from a pub in london after they'd bought the tv rights to one of irelands world cup games.
The sad thing is i think they left their business acumen there as well.

SHOODY COMPANY,SHODDY SERVICE AND A SHODDY WAY TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I can't watch it. I am in the UK, but when I try to play it says the video is not available in this territory,
