But singing about bitches, drugs big booty is cool...
I enjoy most music, but if you really listen to the lyrics of most songs... Jesus, it's like love is dead and buried. Long live f**king hos.

All they sing about is love?
Or utes and guns?
Coz I can think of more artists who sing about the former than the latter, but none that sing solely about one or the other.
I appreciate a good love song, but it gets monotonous. Anger is a better emotion than love. Calming music shits me, I'm way too calm as it is.
Anger is the response you feel when something you love is threatened, Bushy. Can't have anger without love, can't have love without anger.
Its healthy to feel in the right situation.
That's a nice sentiment, but it doesn't really address the point that I'd rather feel love than anger
What? It's great, getting fired up with the music. You guys obviously listen to music to relax.
As my FB status says, I want to marry a girl who appreciates good country music.
Only genre I know of that has people singing about love that is actually love, not lust or infatuation. Songs about loving your wife of 20+ years, loving your kids, loving your parents, or losing love.
There's obviously a lot of the obligatory cows and trucks and guns (from certain artists more than others), but guys like Brad Paisley and George Strait and even Garth Brooks sing more about love and life than the stereotyped 'git 'er dun' stuff.
I like it when music takes me somewhere.
Queens of the Stone Age probably the best example I can think of. A Song for the Dead or I Appear Missing or My God is the Sun or Medication or Better Living through Chemistry or anything, just that tone Josh Homme gets out of his guitar makes me want to cruise through the californian desert in dark shades smoking marlboro reds and drinking jack daniels. I love it.
