Been chatting with a girl from Brisvegas that I met through eHarmony (yes, yes - I'm a loser) and it's been going really well loves the same movies as me, similar values, similar interests, loves league (although, y'know, filthy Queenslander), shares my love of country music, wants to travel etc.

Even if there were to be absolutely zero chemistry in person, we'd make awesome friends.

She just drunk emailed me a picture of her from a ball she was at tonight. It was a moment of truth kind of deal. I've had really good conversations with a girl before only to have her send me a picture and it just kill things. I know it shouldn't, but I do think there needs to be some attraction in the early going.

Anyway, she passes muster and then some. Red hair, pretty smile, cute eyes...

And she's seen plenty of pics of me already, so I guess I've passed muster too

Early days, as I say, but she seems pretty rad :)

Careful bro, those Brissy girls will suck you in then before you know it BAM you're married with twins ;-)

the entire time I was in Brisbane the handful of times I met/hooked up with someone they were either there on holidays or actually live in sunny coast/Ipswich. Few million there and couldn't meet one that actually lives there

I ate too much. Haven't eaten all day because I was hungover as all shit and went to the gym with a mate who nearly killed me. Result, not hungry. Final result, ate too much when I was hungry

Looking at my honeymoon pics, and I don't recognise myself.. Is that normal? It is like I'm looking at someone else :(

This thread is vastly superior to anything, the FFB or for that matter, LeagueUnlimited has produced.

We should thank our mighty overlord and saviour, Misanthrope for the creation of it.

In saying that, I think a mate of mine is trying to set me up with a girl we know at Uni. She's a nice girl and everything, but kind of pointless considering in a month I'm not even in the country.

Not at all, I look at pictures of me from 2-3 years and I think I look a totally different person. My main features look the same, but I feel a different look to me.

Dude, awesome!

I met my girl online. I was embarrassed at first to admit it to people, but after a while, you stop caring - your happiness (individually or as a couple - take your pick lol) comes first. Judgmental people can go take a hike.

And in this day and age, I cannot understand why there is a stigma associated with online dating. Given the position we are in globally in terms of our work-life balances, modern technology and barriers being broken down every day, why should this be scoffed at?

Certainly, I would have loved to go out and meet my potential partner in reality - but when one suffers from depression and low self-esteem, no amount of Spanish is going to compensate.

Anyway - congrats, man! I hope it goes well for you!

What Dragon said.

I mean, I look at pictures of me two years ago and think, "Wow..such different. Much change."

But then again, I did pay a surgeon to make me look like Whitney Houston, so...

 My mother would love that. She supports my world-wandering, but only because it's what makes me happy. She'd have me standard in Australia in a heartbeat if I found an excuse.

Good for you, man.

I met my last girlfriend online and we were together for over a year. Ultimately, she was crazy, but that would have happened with or without the net. I had a fun year with her for the most part, so I'm glad we did it even if she was a nut-bag.

We'll see how this lass goes. It's a long way off being anything, and I'm still enjoying my 'single life' here in China.

Made out with a pretty Welsh girl tonight who is a fan of my site. Nothing turns me on quite like praise.

I'm gonna give the online thing a proper try. Sick of being f**ked in the arse.

I figure if they're trying too, they're probably in a similar boat.
