...and no, I'm not in the law game.

Of course I've got nothing. I'm really not sure what you're trying to accomplish either.

Can't wait for the next episode Cliffy. You really shouldn't spend your time giving a f**k about me.

Were you ever or do i have you mixed up with someone else?

Oh.

So this was not you who posted this?

I don't know what this young woman's rush is. Going straight from high school to law school, in my opinion, is a bad move (the majority of the time). I know this from having studied, taught, and practiced law.

Do you really think someone like me would know how to study law? Let alone practice it?

Hahaha

Yeah, that's one way to put it.

Straight out lying is another.

Well, you raise some good points. It was a very dumb idea and I'm glad you did not take my (very stupid) advice on board.

Finally got some assignments back (2 months and a month after they were due) and I aced them which is good news because I was worried that I screwed up the exam so much to the point of failing that course. I have 39/45 though so surely I managed 11/55 (10/50) in the exam

Guess which course they did not even bother to teach. Srsly. Did not even bother. Not even any exam advice (not the first subject this has happened in), and we'll send you your assignment back after you've done the exam!

What else can you expect when the course is being shut down and the lecturers dont give a shit anymore.

f**k CQU.

that sucks Hooch, but the 2 HDs are awesome. The P just messes with your GPA a bit though.

Do you have a GPA somewhere between 6 and 7?

No thanks Val I am doing this course because I love the content just as much as I do it for where it should take me. Degrees cost a lot of money, not making the most of the learning experience is silly, you pay for each of those lectures and tutes whether you attend them or not.

My ‘advice’ was mostly tongue in cheek although that is how I approached my studies but that is more a reflection on my attitude as whole throughout all my education i.e. I am lazy and do enough to get through.

You are right, it does cost a lot of money but the only thing that will make it worth the money is when you get a job that you otherwise would not have got had you not done the degree. Your sole focus should be working towards that end. Of course good marks help but some people become consumed with uni when there is no need for that to be the case.

Twizzle was right a couple of pages back. It is not always about the marks you get. You will find most employers are just looking for someone with the desired degree. Your marks could be a determining factor in who gets the job but once you have the degree the employer will usually assess you based on other things i.e. the interview.

I went to CQU with my first degree as I lived just outside of Rocky. I had no issues with the course however I needed to get some info off them a couple of years ago before I started this degree and it was a painful experience, the folk I was dealing with were nice enough but they couldn't get anything right and each person gave a different story.

I heard they have a law school now as well so they obviously branched out a bit since the late 90's when I was there.

Should I choose the 8am Monday lecture or the 5pm Wednesday lecture. I already have an 8am lecture on Wednesdays, so picking Wednesday will mean 11 hours at uni, unless I go to the climbing gym in between lectures, which I might do.

Do they even have universities in New Zealand? I never read much past the top 50 ranked Unis in the world on the ranking lists and haven't come across a New Zealand uni on those lists yet.
