I think they have to put Vagana in for mcgoldrick. Mcgoldrick's defence is to inconsistent. What about Merrit and Rieck, when do they get back??? With all those guys we will have a serious kick ass backline

Bird is playing well. Vagana is called the best centre in the world. Where is the logic in dropping Bird and playing Vagana at 5/8? Vagana will have a huge influence on this backline and i think Bird is going to learn heaps from him.

Vagana if fit will play right centre.
McGoldrick is my bet for left centre (not choice)
Franze in PL.
Reick will get one wing spot - Simmons, Saleh and Merritt to fight for the other one. (not sure who Stuey favor there) but will find out.

Sully has to start getting more match time - he will have to fill in for BK, and will have to play 80 mins, lets start getting him used to it.

Yep give someone else a go, Aitken deserves it OR there's enough strength in the outside backs for Vagana to have a go at 6 and divvy up the remaining positions 2, 3, 4, 5.

Birdy is the least of our worries ATM. He is playing good footy and only getting better.

I'd like to see him get a little more involved in the kicks in play area.

I Hear it may be a few more weeks yet, raper doesnt want to bring him back V souths and maybe he will be rested V cowboys too if we win this weekend and next.

more a case of no need to risk him .

like i said a while ago, if we win well v souths, dont hold your breath waiting to see him at home v the cowboys either.

IMO Bird is going really well at the moment. Yeah he makes a few mistakes but he has a good step and he is getting better at defence. He has definately confirmed his spot, I'm more worried about why Isemonger is in the starting 13 for this game against the bunnies

Isemonger would be a better option at 6 than bird !

but seriously, on current form, it is only a matter of time before raper
makes changes at birds expense. hilder to 5/8 and bailey to lock has been talked of at training and this weeks team hints at that change, raper giving backrowers bickerstaff and isemonger their chance to shine, with view to sacking bird when gallen, lomu, isemonger, bickerstaff, galloway, nutely, green, and newton are all fit and available at once, that depth will allow hilder to go to 6 with bailey to 13, and the others fightinh for the 2 2nd row starters spots and 2 or 3 bench spots.

Well, that has to be the largest load of crap I have heard in a while. Is Dean Treister coming back too?
