Noone really dies healthy.
If you get hit by a bus it's all over. You could be fit as a fiddle, but then your heart stops for whatever reason. Even Jesus suffered.
It's what you do between our first breath and our last that matters.
I feel for all those relatives and loved ones who are left behind to deal with their loss.
For those who pass on, their suffering is over.

Joe Walsh has passed away.

The hard-edged second rower from the Riverina died on Tuesday morning at age 79 after a battle with cancer.

Recognised for his trademark blonde hair and rugged defence, Walsh played a major role in Balmain’s shock grand final victory over South Sydney, a result still remembered as one of the biggest boilovers the game has seen.

He was a tough bushie.

Just announced that Gary Leo has also passed onto the great L.O. in the sky....81 years old but like the others from '69 he remains forever young. He... Barry Mctaggart and hooker Peter Boulton dominated Johnny Sattler...John O'Neil and Elwynn Walters that famous day and mountains dont come any harder to climb than that.
RIP Tiger Gary Leo

Sixties, those were the days Red.
Mate, I remember Gary Leo well. The 1969 GF was played as one of those newsreel type films at my primary school for some fete or other special day. We ate it up, or at least those of us that were not Rabbit supporters - a lot were in those days at the end of the 60s. The rest of us were cheering the Tigers on. :)
Len Killeen was another popular player in our school. I guess it was all the points he scored, plus he had a funny kicking style from memory - did he stand the ball up ?

He did mate, straight up. You said you knew him. I got into argument in a pub years ago, when I was a bit silly 😂 and I said he was born in South Africa and he said crap, he was born in Sydney. Either you or maybe @Tigerm might know.

I know of him, didn’t know him.
All the stories I heard say he is Sth African. Converted to RL and played in England before coming to Balmain.
