I been married 15 years and I have some advice for all y'all young whippersnappers.

Find a way to enjoy Valentines day. It doesn't have to break the bank or be flashy. It should be thoughtful. If you do the "it's commercialised crap and I don't go in for it thing" you just look like (and are) a copout who's can't be bothered or is incapable of going outside his comfort zone for someone you're supposed to care about. One guy said he's getting a very nice bottle of wine and cooking romantic food together with candlelight and having a dinner for two - and seems to think that's somehow inadequate, or a compromise because it doesn't involve lavish gifts and lots of cash outlay. It's a shame people think that way. Best valentines I did was a surprise dusk picnic at the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

Dont get me wrong dude, i dont think its inadequate
when i say we've decided not to do it this year, i mean the outrageous way we've previously done it. We usually go super way over the top and really make it a big lavish thing. This year due to circumstances, we've decided to just do something far more intimate and romantic way. Im really looking forward to it.
