Not the full list, but all of them are listed as in production or in development.

i'm not sure what "production or development" emans in this sense cos a lot of stuff has the licences bought by film companies who sit on it for eyars, sometimes get people to write scripts and then never do anything with them. what it seems is a lot of film companies buy things just so their competitors cant do anything with them, plus with the continual interest in video games/comics and the like it's easier to just grab as much as you can and sort through it all later.

Also film studios rarely care about the fanboys who had the initial interest and will bastardize stories to suit hollywood, the directors "artistic" vision or whatever market they're aiming for. plus a lot of stuff is amde dependent on what merchandising they can make.

this is piss easy. wheres my development deal?

i dare say manhunt is really just more gorey "runningman"

still, itd be a good thriller

condemned criminal gets ut on death row for a crime he didnt commit. gets the gas chamber....

wakes up. turns out he's part of an under ground bloodsport. has to survive wild gangs of freaks and a mutant pig with a chainsaw!

sweet movie IMO

.

manhunt was a cool (if slightly repetitive) game. you're movie idea is awesome too. i would watch it, unfortunately unless people are fans of saw they wouldnt....

i want to see viva pinada and angry birds.

i have very little faith in any movie adaption of anything being any good unless the director is a true fan of the work or if the original creators are heavily involved. Sin City was a great example of a comic to movie done very well. Video games are developing great plots but you gotta rememebr they're develoepd over 10 hours of gameplay not over 2.5 hours

If it's in production then the financing has been secured and the key positions of the production are in place and working on the pre-production stage of the film.

If it's in development then it could mean anything from the script stage to the license agreements, to a producer with nothing more than an idea trying to raise enough interest to warrant finance etc.

Tom Clanceys Rainbow 6 (the original game which was only released on PC)

Starcraft + James Cameron directing= spoodge in my pants

Terminator/Terminator 2 James Cameron or Avatar James Cameron? The former could be good, but the latter would just be a big jumble of special effects with a story stolen from some over game.

hmmm tough choice. I enjoyed T1 and 2 but also enjoyed the visuals in Avatar. maybe go for the best of both JC's

How the f**k do you make The Sims into a movie?

picture it like saw, but instead of all the rusty traps, the door just vanishes and a dozen tables are placed next to the 6 fireplaces that just appeared out of thin air. Or they could just be locked in a room where they piss themselves then sleep in it, then cry, then starve to death. And then the grim reaper cant get into the room because there is no door.

It could work....

i think the "player" will be the protagonist of The Sims. it will be spun from that angle, "the player" obtains godlike powers... they'll explore that concept a bit... hilarity ensues, bit of drama, a moral conundrum or 2 etc. it's the only angle i can see to explore.

In the sequel, they're all going for a swim when suddenly the ladder into the pool disappears. Oh sh*t they can't get out!

Then there's the porn parody version, in which someone used cheatcodes to make showers and beds disappear while the Sims are up to no good :sarcasm:
