Why was Volkman training (even non contact) without his contract registered?
Insurance null and void right there.
Shit fight likely over this one with all parties.

He went in to meet players
Had an extended medical issue found end of story

The only mistake saints made was to announce the signing before the medical was complete (Where the grey area is created)

The Warriors have pulled a swift one here.
Hurt his shoulder again in December training and didn't investigate or check the real damage
Recorded it as shoulder irritation without a scan

You make an excellent point especially if anything relating to him having had a previous injury let alone operation was known to our club.
I would have thought that after an initial conversation re any interest by either party that someone from our side would have said

OK let's get his medical file and see what potential issues this player has

Oh, look here he has had a shoulder reconstruction very recently let's send him off for some scans etc and then get our specialists to advise us.

Thanks Dr for pointing out that he needs further surgery and a year to recover that has avoided lots of potential headaches.

Sorry Ronald we aren't able to sign you up at this point but we would be interested in looking at you again after you have sorted out the medical issues and met the requirements of our club Dr

We should of completed medicals before any announcement but the Warriors knew there was more to this

Contact injury on the 12th of December and their medical stated shoulder irritation without proper follow up

They couldn't wait to move him on
They also cited sinus issues as the main issue above the shoulder injury 🤔
Funny how Newton has asked the NRL to look into the dragons but no mention of his previous club and his manager.

Yep. Major screw up by the Dragons and Volkman’s management. Warriors less so, their liability stopped when the release was signed before Christmas.

Pretty clear that by raising the sinus issue, the Warriors were trying to make the shoulder issue look like a non-event. Gotta say that Cameron George of the Warriors sounds like a used car salesman to me.

Re Newton and the RLPA, they will always go for whoever they think they can get the most money out of, irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the case.

They sold us a lemon, and we fell for it hook line and sinker. They’re merkins for doing it, but we’re dumb merkins for falling for it
I doubt the Warriors knew either, because if they did so would Volkman and his manager and surely they wouldn’t have been dumb enough to sign a release in that situation. Looks more to me like he picked up a niggle and it wasn’t properly checked out til after he signed the release and started training with the Dragons.
BRB I’m gonna shoot down to your leagues club and flog my old car in the car park.

Warriors less so?
They hid or didn't fully investigate a significant injury to get him off the books.
Noted in his Warriors medical he had a knock to the shoulder Dec 12th.and they undersold it.
Only mistake Saints made was to announce the signing before the full medical.

Sounds like there was an attempted screw over on us by Volkmans Mgt. Allan is pure bad luck. Strap in for another rocky ride this season folks.

Bit peeved about this as we wasted time and energy on him when we could have been chasing someone else.

Sick of being shat on by everyone. When we do rebuild and start winning again (however long that takes), oh boy won't that be sweet victory. And we will have certainly earned it.

It wasn’t their responsibility to get it checked out unless it was an obvious issue at the time. The Dragons and his managers should’ve been the ones seeing to that.
