Kata had another poor game. How many of those before Ayshford gets a sniff?

Our kicking game was terrible. Last tackle options bad again. How many kicks last night bounced off defensive players? And when you repeatedly kick bombs to a winger who refuses to jump and contest them, what's the point?

With Manu out again. I guess we're stuck with Tui and Ken for longer. I don't know if I can stand it. Please can we throw someone else into the mix even if it pushes Fus out to wing?

The entire team looks like they have no idea what to do on attack and defense. Are they even coached or is this like a social league where some guys all meet once a week and give it a go for fun. It's laughable how nothing changes. We won't make the 8.

The Warriors haven't looked like they know what to do on attack for the better part of the last decade and probably longer.

I don't even hope for a light at the end of the tunnel anymore. There's no evidence there is one.

Mannering was strangely quiet last night.
Luke has been quiet too long and his passing and options are second rate.
The dogs shut Johnson down and it was goodnight nurse.
Lolohea can't tackle and struggles with a high ball - so we pick him at fullback. Stupid.
Don't know where we go from here.

I thought Lolohea got a pass under the high ball last night- it's just that his kick returns are so bloody ineffective.

With you there.

Might be that both halves are poor organisers but one is a 20 yo rookie

Johnson will have a great spell at some stage, but same shit

Yep, for sure. Tough to expect Hingano to come in and do all the organisation.

would have got a pass if not for the last one that he misjudged and didnt take cleanly. then they scored in the corner after the scrum. we were ahead 12-10 at the time.

His runs from the back are the opposite of RTS who is very direct. Tui seems to go the "Tourist Route.

Only round 3
Mooks will fix it

With the cattle he has in the forwards, I think our whole attack needs an overhaul. We are too small and will keep getting monstered. He needs to find a way and quickly. I'd like to see alot more running from dummy half from Luke for a start.

i am hoping the reasoning behind the hulks on the wings is an admittance we have an undersized pack and they need help. Thats the only way i can understand why our wings go against the trend of the other teams in the comp (in terms of size and ability). If they do know the pack needs help, where are Jims new recruits? Thats what i am confused about.

I actually think Ayshford would be an upgrade on the wing from our current players to pick from( since they dont want him at centre) if not for the fact our pack cant live with the aussie packs on their own in terms of meterage and need the hitups from ken and manu (no more from manu tho) Would be interesting to compare post contact metres from our pack compared to the 3 packs we have played so far.

Also we have conceded, 22, 26 and 24 points so far. 2 of these games have been at home. Pretty sure you need to average under 20 conceded a game to have a chance of being in the 8. Might check the last 10 years to get an average if i have time.

But what those numbers are saying is our defence is not working and hasnt been working for several years. Hence the deep pile of dogturd we currently reside in.

I wish I stopped watching the Warriors when we were 8-6 up in the GF

Lue running from dummy half can only happen when we get quick play the balls from the forwards making it over the advantage line. At the moment the forwards are not doing that

That was a really disappointing loss. After your showing in the first 2 rounds I was expecting a lot more.

Lets hope this isn't a same old year for the Warriors. You should be better than that.

Should be. Won't though. The reality is that the last five years are all out the window, and this is the start of the rebuild. Again. Fortunately, Kearney has the luxury of being able to rid himself of the dead wood at the end of this year because of a lot of contracts ending.

Despite the doom and gloom, I still see small signs of improvement. And I don't discount the difference that Captain RTS is going to make when he returns. I think that result against the dogs could have been very different with him at the back. His penetration on attack, and the organisation he was showing on defence were noticeably absent.

We may still sneak into the 8 this year, but I'd be hugely surprised if we do any better.

Once we take all of the emotion out of things, It's only round 3.
