Chin up guys.

We are our own worst enemies at the moment, too sideways in attack, silly penalties, not being awake in D at times and way, way too many drop balls. We are tiring ourselves out. Come second half our attack is too sluggish to compete. Then we go more sideways in attack, drop more ball and give away penalties. Fall asleep in D and let in more tries.

We need patience, composure and TL because Townsend is shit. Someone to calm them the f**k down!

We've never had a first class coach IMO. even the ones who were relatively good (Anderson and Cleary) came to us as first grade rookies. Would love to see how we'd do with a Bellamy or Bennet.

Likewise. Personally I think Anderson would have gone on to give us continued levels of success. The (rumoured) Stacey Jones led players collective hissy fit that led to his demise was disgraceful.

As in, Warriors fans at this moment after two losses. We very rarely agree on anything Warriors/League related anyway which I'm more than fine with to be honest. We'll see how it goes.

Yeah lets just agree to disagree as usual and see what happens mate.

Which we never have consistently. I can't see TL alone changing that. Sometimes I wonder if attempting to played a patient composed game just leads to them losing the intensity that's needed in first grade.

Regarding Elliott... I'm definitely no fan of his but I'm not sure about all this finger pointing at the coach.

Half the guys on the park just aren't showing up especially after half time, why are they so slack and unfit?
Surely there is a lot of accountability on the players themselves.

It's about time the players were held more accountable for the results rather than sacking of the coach.

Yes we can always blame the coach but if he's letting players like Hurrell, Mateo, Neilson eat and drink what they want all simmer so that they start the season fat and sluggish, then shit sign me up!!

Coaches put structures in place so players are at there optimum at seasons start. Train them hard. Lean mean wrecking machines.

Surely the are given diets?
You can have a few days off around Xmas etc, but the responsibility of what you put in your mouth is the players ultimately.

Training could be a different matter, unless asked to do something out of practice time?

Just watched the press conference on NRL.COM , definitely recommend you guys should watch it , Elliott almost in tears , a lot of questions aimed at Mannering , injury not looking good for Henry.

"Our willingness to compete in the game could be questioned at the moment!"

He was amazing against the Roos. He will make the transition no problems.

You yourself the other day said something like "so far it doesn't look like he'll reach Billy Slaters level" aka doesn't look like he will go onto be the best fullback of all time

What excuses am I making for him? I was responding to the reasons why people are going after Tomkins especially. I even said that his main weakness was under the high ball if there was one (even though I don't actually think it'll be any sort of long term problem)

I wouldn't expect anything less from Warriors fans right now.

We'll need to wait and see, I guess - but he's been hyped, and has looked just ok so far - I am sure he'll be good, but there it's not just Slater that is obviously better than him - the mistakes were poor, we're entitled to expect him to do the basics well...

But he's not the problem, the pack were piss weak, the backs don't threaten, and there's no cohesion on attack

We don't seem to have any ball playing forwards at the moment. Matulino looked real good offloading throughout that 1st half. I've always been a big Mateo fan but maybe he needs to go to the Vulcans for a while to remind himself how to throw that money ball? Unsure who else there is. Sam Lousi maybe but unsure if he's fit at the moment?

If TL returns next week (& I heard he's available for selection) he will most likely be the glue to mend this team, much like when Friend returned last year.

The team didn't play well and may have slightly improved on last week, it's early days but if we leave the Cake Tin 0-4 then its season over IMO. To play the Eels, Tigers and Dragons in the first 3 weeks should be a gift 6 points.

I'm concerned this could be a 2004 season if we do not win game soon as I wonder the team gotten worse, or have other teams gotten better?

I really hate playing teams touted as wooden spooners in the first 4-6 weeks as come round 1 it's a new season and everyone has hope & enthusiasm until you get belted for the first month.

That Cowboys pack next week are just going to slaughter us next week. They are big and they are mobile. Their outside backs are quick as well. And that's without even talking up Thurston. Could be a long night in Townsville unless we pull our socks up!!

It's not the coaches job to babysit these guys in the off-season to make sure they are eating well and keeping in reasonable shape. They're big boys and professional athletes, they should act like it.

It is the coach's job to hold the players accountable. If the coach is unable to do this, he needs to be held accountable.

A fish starts rotting at the head. Elliott has been proven to be a fraud in the NRL and Scurrah is the goose who performed a coup d'état on Cleary. Let's not forget, from 12 possible club points, we have 1. We are disgracefully run.

this writing has been on the wall for quite a long time..

OK. Question.
Dropping an overweight Hurrell to NSW cup and replacing him with a slow mistake-ridden Ropati is teaching who a lesson?

What was hugely wrong with Ropati yesterday?

Dropping an overweight Hurrell to NSW cup was an absolute must if you are going to be lazy and non professional. Quite clearly teaching Hurrell a lesson considering Ropati is known to be at least a pro off the field.
