Feel good factor overflowing for Warriors | Warriors
Storylines galore add rich layers to One New Zealand Warriors' Magic Round win over Penrith.

TMM played most of the game with a suspected broken finger.
I love Ivan, but this is sooky BS at his press conference. Unprofessional as hell

It was our first win in Australia that did it for me. We came home strong against Cronulla at Shark Park with an excellent display. We also (finally) won the Americas Cup that day too and I remember that Aussie commentator saying 'it's a great day for New Zealand sport, winning the Americas Cup this morning in San Diego and now this, the Warriors first win in Sydney...'For true-blue since the start fans, where does this one rank in terms of all-time gutsy, against the odds efforts? Obviously the Storm 08-11 finals, but I mean in terms of round robin games, too. Any others stick out?
Yeah, no doubt that was a disappointing performance but media/fans are entitled to know what went wrong and get more out of him. Bit pathetic, really. My gosh.
I get the disappointment of losing, but yeah very dissappointing.
My favourite part was the look he gave the reporter who said we fielded a reserve team. That cold, almost shocked look and then the 'Excuse me'
Not as epic as Sunday, but very similar start to the match.
I'm sure it was this: https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/...10/newcastle-knights-vs-warriors/summary.html
It's early into 2002 and we weren't taken completely seriously as a club yet - Wairangi Koopu dropped the kick-off straight out the sideline, let out an epic f-bomb, and usually that's all it took for us to get reamed.
But I remember this was one of the first times we put a gaffe like that behind us, stuck to the plan and ended up putting away Newcastle in their home turf (they ended up second on the ladder that season).
I recall Ray Warren specifically calling out a new "mental toughness" never before seen with us.
