Tony Kemp is on the SKY coverage? Or radio? Please inform me so I never listen.

The trouble is with conditions like this and playing a side with a pack like the Storm, even without J Brom, is we're just outmuscled and outclassed. There's really not much going on in our pack, as hard as they might try. Definitely one of the bottom 4 prop rotations, minus Ben, in the comp.

Yep outmuscled and outclassed. Our forwards were rolled onto their back nearly everytime, their's barely ever. Our only chance to break through their awesome defense was second phase play. Which we didn't try. So we lost. Disappointing.

Kemp's on radio. I'm stuck at home listening to him until I sort out a new boozer to catch the games.

I didn't hear much about Maumalo. That would be a good thing.

Warriors faithful trudging off into another bleak Auckland night...

Did anyone take a screen shot of us sitting on 8th spot last week? It's a bit disheartening that, as in recent seasons as soon as we get into the eight we slam on the handbrake and scream into reverse never to return, like a kid without a license turning a blind corner and seeing a booze bus.

But this year we were in our dreaded zone after round one.

Unfortunately, he went ok. Nothing great but he did his job. Cant remember him getting burnt suprisingly. I say unfortunately because he mightve done enough to be selected again next week.

If we'd won, or scored plenty of tries, Ken would be back next week. But I think Manu will get the green light as we lacked punch and options in attack. Whether Mooks sees RTS going off as the main reason for our failure tonight might give Ken a reprieve.

As it is, Foran next week is going to be so interesting...but then the word is that he's not quite ready to go. Shoulder's not right.

Maumalo made a lot of metres as usual, the Storm didn't go after him much and mostly cashed in on Tui's pea heart.

He won't be dropped.

If Kearney wants to show that he has balls then he drops Tui to the bench as #14 and keeps Ken and puts Manu on the wing.

Lolohea showed no urgency even when he was put into his "allegedly" preferred position of fullback

Missing from the game.
1:Wanting to be first to get to the ball.
2: A tactic outside of bombs and hope for mistakes. (As bombs had little pressure applied at times)
3: Controlled offloads. (Storm committing 3 in tackles)
4: Effective tackling (Missed 33)
5: Forwards that made an impact and got over advantage line.
6: Better use of the bench. (Man down, short turn around and throw Clark on in last 6mins???)

Positives:
Completion rate was high for a WET game (86%).
Maumalo hands improved.
There could be more?

Post Match Conference didnt answer to much other than the Storm is a benchmark and Kearney not sure how far off that is for us.
We didnt finish our sets well.
They young ones out there went away from the plan.
Kearney said Cameron is a protected species (jokingly, they good friends) so wont have anything to answer about this lifting tackle.
RTS should be ok.

Bellamy sees Kearney investing in young players they should pay off with time (a bit optomistic that they should come good half way to 3/4 of the way through the comp).

Good thing it's not a transfer system in the NRL, we'd be losing 95c off the dollar for Tui Lolohea. I'd be saying to him, go and take more photos at Suncorp and stay there. I give Ken a bit of shit but at least he tries. And I also gave Tui some leeway when the stupor coach shunted him around but he's turned up this year not giving a f**k (and wasn't there word in the pre-season of the same?). I'd be releasing him pretty soon if he shows nothing and look to bring in someone who will actually put in.

And for this you would put him on the bench? He should go straight to NSW cup and play there till his manager finds him another team.
If that had been a close game he would have cost us a win.
Really. what does he add?

What does he add, nothing, just waiting for his next lapse in defence, let him go.

We are light on forward depth as nobody with oomph to bring in from reserve grade. Thompson not playing like in 2016 where he was outstanding. Should have given Clark a chance earlier on.

Tui can only play halves, hes not an outside back. We already have our halves sewn up but Kearney IMO is stuck on Tuis side stepping ability when defences are scattered and THATS why hes in the team. The blame has to fall back on Kearney who mustve missed what we saw last year when Tui was an outside back. Tui started last week by letting in a try cos he couldnt take a bomb, this week his kick returns were amongst the poorest, if not THE poorest chicken sh1t kick returns Ive seen from a "Warrior". We obviously seen enough, I dont know WTF Kearneys been watching.

Smith and his team played the refs as well as they played us.

They are certainly magicians at slowing the tackle without ever seemingly getting penalized for it, they do it every tackle yet only we seemed to cop penalties for those offenses.
