Sponsorship has never really been a massive problem for one city teams though.

If the Bears suddenly come to the realisation that they are not going to play home games in Sydney and that they will have a joint ownership structure (at best) which would be fully committing to the relocation then that would be ok but that is not what they are advocating. They will probably abandon the area (NZ, Perth or wherever else) at the first opportunity they get.
