I agree and that's why Perth should swerve this proposal/project.

Exactly. That's my fear too in that the Bears are looking to use Perth as a vehicle to get back to the NSO full-time.

If PVL is adamant that a perth team needs links to a Sydney club then any perth consortium should have a chat to newtown. Throwing another club into the mix will dilute any leverage the bears may have, or think they have.

The fact he told the Western Australian representatives to "talk with the Bears" proves he is a biased moron and unfit to be ARLC Chairman.

If he was unbiased and truly cared about the game he would judge all bids by their merits. By saying "talk to the Bears" he proved this administration only cares about propping up the traditional NSWRL teams, including ones that haven't played in the NRL since the last millennium. What really angers me is he views Perth as nothing other than a vehicle to revive a dead and unviable Sydney brand. That's an insult to everyone who isn't a narrow-minded NSWRL fan.

Never actually got round to watching that film but in "they live" the main character which was former WWF wrestler rowdy roddy piper of all people says " I came hear to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum."

Not quite sure which film came 1st but one clearly stole and changed the line from the other.

Dazed and Confused was made in 93 I think.
Edit: and by googling I see that They Live was 88. Damn you Richarkd Linklater for stealing that line!!!

It was Richard Linklater. The film was the first for a helluva lot of cast that became stars. McConaghey, Affleck, Park Posie, Zelwegger, Joey Loren Adams, Milla Jovivich, Adam Goldberg, Rory Cochrane etc

I saw Dazed in 94 at the ole Valhalla in Glebe one satdy arvo. I walked in sober and walked out feeling stoned as a mute. And yet I never smoked a thing that day.
There were all these stoner's waiting to get in when we walked out saying "look at these dudes they're all as ripped as us!"
Twas a special moment....
