I hear lots of South Africans live over there, my sister has lived over there between Cottesloe and Scarborough for around 40 years now.

Pretty much. Every time I spoke to somebody from Perth for work they seemed to be either South African or English.

Really nice place though

Have you been to Perth or WA in general ?, best of all of the major cities in Australia imo, not dirty with polution like Sydney, not cold like Melbourne, not humid like Darwin, it is very clean with very nice beaches.
Very nice place and the weather is great.
Nah and I have no interest in spending five hours on a plane to visit a glorified country town

one hour on a plane I’m on the Gold Coast

why would I spend an extra four hours to go somewhere there way more boring and after a day I would want to leave

Gold coast is sht hole, reminds me of Benidorm for aussie boguns. Your coasts version of bali for us,
What is it about Sydney that scared you so much you chose the place furthest from it to live in

literally nobody moves to Australia and chooses Perth

Sht traffic, druggies on every street corner and ridiculous house prices. nice place to visit for a weekend in the city but would never live there.
I’ve got a big house on the beach 30mins from cbd for same price as a poxy apartment in Sydney lol
perth 30mins to world class wineries, miles of awesome beaches and snorkelling 20 mins from cbd, awesome river that you can safely ski and boat in (well if the shark doesn’t get you) and friendly locals. It’s an amazing place to live.

Perth has similar house prices to Sydney

traffic yeh

there aren’t druggies on every corner lmao

you could’ve moved somewhere south of Gold Coast which has the best beaches and weather and in a rugby league state

or Wollongong central coast or even Newcastle

I would never move to a state dominated by afl. They just are foreign to the australia I know

seeing people with sherrins in their hand is just weird

growing up in a state where rugby league is dominant is so much fun

everybody wants to talk rugby league

Bollox lol. Not even close. I know I looked at them when Looked like work was going to make me move there. I would have been in a shtty apartment for same price my 4 bedroom detached house on the beach costs here!

then You’re an idiot to make life choices based on what the most popular sport is. But that doesnt surprise me at all!

maybe during the mining boom 12 years ago, not now. Brisbane has higher house prices than Perth now....and Sydney is well higher than any other city, including Melbourne.

It’s never been comparable for what you get for your money and the location it’s in.

All your unhappy posts about rugby league in Australia emanate from one poor choice you made to pick Perth over the places I mentioned

here’s a little tip australia has loads of beaches

you even could’ve moved to a house on the water In Cronulla or the gong

central coast is great living and was so cheap back then

same weather beaches and your in civilisation

plus if you want to see the rest of Australia you are on a plane for 3 to five hours

stuff that

Living in Sydney as a rugby league fan is amazing

I genuinely pity you

Perth 880k median house price vs 780k Brisbane
Lol, it’s about what you get For your money. Where I live would be equivalent to manly. Beachside upmarket suburb 20km from cbd. For the price of my modern 4 bedroom detached house on the beach on 600sqm house equivalent priced property in manly is a one bedroom one bathroom apartment! Sydney house prices are ridiculous,

Having spent lots of time in Sydney over the yearsI pity anyone who had the misfortune of ending up there over an amazing city like perth. Hell even Melbournes more interesting than Sydney and you can actually get around the city.
is your govt totally skint? The antiquated train system and the massive pot holes in the roads smack of a city on the down slope.

Wollongong is nice though, I could live there Except for the rain.

not sure where you're getting your data from...

Perth is actually lower than Adelaide and Hobart!
Canberra is 2nd to Sydney LOL

If that’s true wow Perth is so cheap

500k gets you nothing in Sydney
