Not the sfs, North Sydney Oval is the only ground to play against the buzzards.
Nso isnt for for nrl games.

why have 16k at a local park when you can have 30k in a state of the art stadium? Hopefully the western bears have enough business sense.

The big stadiums are rubbish, no atmosphere, North Sydney hosted massive crowds back in the 90's. Bigger crowds than most teams experience these days. It was good enough to host the NSW womens Origin a few years ago.
It's like when the NRL said that North Sydney Oval wasn't up to NRL standard, the Bears moved to the Central Coast, and invested in Bluetongue Stadium, bad weather delayed the Stadiums completion and the rest unfortunately is history.
Funny how South Sydney and the Roosters used North Sydney Oval a few times after the Bears demise.

The guy you responded to has hated the bears for a decade

but now he knows it’s guaranteed Perth an nrl team he’s forgotten everything he said about the bears

Regularly none lol

Anzac Day and Easter Monday are basically it

Don’t know why we shouldn’t aim for at least 20k average.

There are ways in which you can try and do that: reciprocal membership, better grounds and facilities, double or triple headers at the SFS et al

None of which makes any difference that between nso and sfs it would make no sense to play at nso. If you don’t think that game can get more than 16k attending id have to question why take a game to sydney at all?

Yep if that’s what Perth had to offer for rectangular sports that’s a no from me.

no wonder why the force and glory struggle

it really doesn’t compare to Christchurch sorry

this narrows the gaps between the bids
Haha you are funny.

Membership & attendance are worthless. Without TV money league would be nothing. Canberra have great membership & attendance but afl wouldn't even touch that place because it adds nothing to revenue. If NRL had time again..
Attendances from the 2020 Origin series helped the ARLC avoid total disaster as it generated a significant amount of revenue.

Bears >>>>>> Butt Pirates.

And I think it'd be insane not to tap into whatever's left of the latent Bears support in North Sydney. Whether that's a game at NSO or something else idk, but utilising the Bears heritage is biggest strength of a combined bid like this. The NRL would be stupid to waste it.
ManlyBearPigs, based out of a muddy Brookvale? 😉

Peace deal only allowed News Ltd to own one club
In 1998?

News Ltd owned Broncos, Cowboys and Storm in the 00s.

Dolphins got the license why are you still arguing over this

it’s ancient history now
Don't whinge to me if its crowds are 15k instead of 25k. That's what you get when people from Sydney decide to have a club from Redcliffe play 40km away at Lang Park.

that’s part of the problem, it shouldn’t be impossible for nrl clubs to earn more from fans and game day revenue than they get from the tv grant, but they are mostly sht at building active customer base and the nrl has compromised that ability by agreeing to sht game times.

Lmao you’ve literally got that back to front

because of so many fan unfriendly times which hurt crowds the arlc is compensating clubs with a higher grant

it’s a reflection of how well they are running the game that all rugby league clubs are so well funded unlike the fumblers which had their funding cut by gill

If that stadium were in Sydney it would be considered below average

it’s got at best one good stand.

even Canberra has a better stadium than that one

indeed it would be one of the worst nrl grounds by the time they get in

the corporate facilities look primitive

no it’s a sign of how incapable they are of building a contributing fanbase. Nrl is happy theyre are so reliant, allows them to justify playing games at sht times.
