When you start listening to what news ltd say then your in cuckoo land lol. I’ve shown you where the latest two comments from nrl officials have not specified nz2 above anyone else.

NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said what I'm saying..

Also, I predicted dolphins two years before it happened. As recently as the week it was announced most here thought tigers were in box seat.

Attendances and television ratings for most Sydney clubs are beyond woeful. There are games between Sydney teams that draw as few as 6k or 7k fans. Financially, none of them are thriving and would be in deep shit without the annual grant. I've shown the data for attendances and television ratings ad nauseum to validate my point.
Attendances are fine this year actually in the post Covid world. Television ratings are very good across the board. All clubs attract great tv and streaming support. Financially all clubs are in good shape because of the grant they get because the game attracts huge tv money because of the excellent tv ratings. They earn that money by delivering the product. What must really annoy you and pleases me is that no matter how much you whinge about them and no matter how much they annoy you the clubs are not going away. Go you mighty sharks!

Like all ovals it’s not great viewing for rectangular sports. But as a stadium it’s brilliant, great food, great toilets, great lighting, easy transport from any part of the city, great area outside stadium, option to stand on the concourse and drink whilst watching game. Some great upgrade options like seating sections with your own bar, food and terrace area.It ticks all the boxes.
Let’s see if there’s any follow up but it sounds like theres more momentum now for Perth from nowhere

with a sell out origin I’m sure they will have more opportunity to convince vlandys

I still prefer nz2 but if Perth come up with a killer bid they are a much better chance now

there isn’t even any good bids from nz. Andrew chalmers is a flop

They went broke
Which has nothing to do with crowds lol
and they didn’t go broke, they were owned by news ltd who covered their costs. news ltd decided it would rather have a club in melbourne. That’s why they aren’t around today.

Bears connection may make bid more enticing to TV with potential manly match up & fan engagement in North Sydney.
NRL & TV haven't mentioned Perth yet.

Hahaha. They'd rather prop a club in Melbourne with it's big population than Perth.

Yeh because we stupidly thought the arlc would choose the best bid for brisbane, not the best bid for news ltd lol.

be very interesting to know how this conversation with the bears came about. I’d suggest it was most likely the WA minisiter was in Brisbane looking at magic weekend with a view to bidding for it in the future.
If the bears conversation was by chance, by wa design or organised by the nrl would be a good indicator as to how serious it is. I can’t imagine sage, Cummins or Pudsey would be very impressed if they haven’t been included in the conversation given they’ve all indicated a desire to lead a consortium bid for a perth club.
