Won’t kick in till 2025

it be arlc approaching networks with a ninth game

there’s been a few whispers about the team being announced next year

jus like they renegotiated now with the addition of team 17
That negotiation was part of the 23-27 new deal though. I hope you’re right but history suggests otherwise.
If I was a betting man, and presuming no curve balls with dolphins or global pandemics, I’d say it’s more likely discussion will be had in ‘26 for a ‘28 introduction and new deal.

of course it’d be even better if the nrl actually made it’s mind up who team 18 Will be and starts laying the platform for them from now.

A few years extra give the dolphins a chance to sign more players and the whole market to adapt and not dilute the playing pool

I honestly don’t think it will be that long. If the dolphins are mid table or so that would be the green light

if they are bottom and getting smashed then they wait

Answer the question, how many people in perth watch the four rl games that aren’t on fox/kayo every year?

Yeah, afl grand final does 250k in Sydney but team at home bush can't get 4k to ground. We can all see the tricks you trying to play

Hardly one off game though is it? Sell outs at hbf park, 39k at double header, 60k at origin, sell out for test match, 15k for World Cup game, 25k for nines. But yeh it was a one off lol. you don’t want to believe it, that’s fine, but you’re making yourself look a dck lol

You think if they held it every year the number would be same?! Initial game gets good crowd but drops off. See Tassie for afl. Means nothing.

so what evidence are you going off that nrl in perth won’t draw a crowd? Because I have clearly shown IT CAN.

No you can't. Can only point to one offs & anybody who knows sports know these numbers are highest for initial fixture. Indication of widespread support is FTA with 7k viewers. You lie, you lie

Olympic level mental gymnastics. Regular round of NRL not grand final

Maybe you shouldn’t use the conditional tense in that case.

In any case, when people direct you to the fact that crowds for the Melbourne Storm or for the Sydney Swans are healthier than some Sydney NRL clubs; or that the Western Reds and Adelaide Rams had healthier crowds than some Sydney clubs, you revert back to the crowds don’t matter trope.

When you attack grammar means you lost. In 2022 live crowds mean shit.

No, it simply means you have to learn how to read. As language is the medium in which you construct arguments or debate, you should know how to use it.

NRL in Christchurch - look at biggest crowd for initial game (very similar in size to Perth crowd);

I’m in favour of a side in Christchurch or at least a second NZ side btw but why are you using this as evidence for a second side in NZ but you are discounting crowds when it is in Perth.

Frankly, both options have challenges in so far as they won’t be the most popular code in those areas.

You've replied to about 100 of my posts in the past month; now grammar is a problem?! Just want superiority somehow, because you keep losing argument

Just pointing out a one off crowd doesn't mean shit. Calling @Perth Red on his bs

Haha I don’t change parameters of an argument because of a bias.

In your posts you have changed your viewpoint on crowds, finances or private backers whenever it suits your argument.

For example, the NRL shouldn’t put a side in wherever region because to rely on a private backer is fraught with danger yet when the same situation is evident for the PNG (and much worse), it no longer matters.

You argue that some area wouldn’t get crowds as an argument, you get shown that is wrong and then you say crowds don’t matter.

At least I’m honest with my viewpoints

But this is the problem with your arguments. You confuse the perfect with conditional tenses.

One off crowds is not enough evidence to say something will or won’t happen but it is evidence to say something could or can’t happen.

In any case, what were crowds like when the Reds were in the competition. They had better crowds than some Sydney clubs; or again does this now not matter because it doesn’t suit your argument?

Only games that are exclusive to fta ie all rl fans having to watch fta rather than on fox and kayo. Answer the question how many perth people watch rl games that are exclusive to fta.

So you want to ignore the 20k plus people who attend rl games in person and base it on a partial tv audience number? You’re off your head lol

It’s not one off crowds, it’s year on year examples. it’s the only realistic evidence we have of the potential for crowds in perth.
But yeh let’s ignore 20k people turning up for rl games. and pretend that no one will show up for a perth club. You’re an idiot lol

if I said perth will get 60k as we got that for origin you might have a point, but given we’ve had numerous examples of healthy crowds in perth there is absolutely no reason to believe there isn’t a decent enough sized active rl fanbase here To sustain a team with decent crowds at least the avg of the nrl.
