i dont think we need to be too worried about perth crowds lol
The Titans still pulled more than the games in Sydney and Canberra, despite being an abomination on the field. The idiots should have held onto Fogarty and Rein. Too much inexperience and it shows in their flimsy defence.

I hope The Dolphins buy some experienced halves who can lead the team around the field.

Is Widdop still playing?

It

When isn't Canberra cold and it is only going to get colder in the next month or so
Canberra has been colder
I love it when people say stuff like this. It just exposes their utter ignorance.

The problem on the weekend wasn’t the cold per se, it was the windchill factor. Add the wet weather about and it was utterly abysmal conditions, especially for Bruce that’s designed like a giant wind tunnel.

If people in Sydney or the CC were expected to contend with those conditions there wouldn’t have been any crowd at all.

In the good old days before summer rugby we used to turn up at craven park an hour before the game to help clear the snow off the pitch lol

Yeah, and you lot start dying as soon as it hits 30 degrees…

You also have stadiums specifically designed to deal with the conditions, which Bruce, originally designed as an athletics stadium intended to see most of it’s use in the warmer months, most certainly was not.

Which again is the real problem, and not the cold it’s self per se.

I've travelled around a bit and canberra in the middle of winter is definitely up there for coldest.
I went to a NY Giants game at MetLife stadium in the middle of winter once, that was definitely the coldest sporting experience I've had. I think it was in the middle of a cold snap though.
Have been to West Ham and QPR games in winter and neither was that bad... though London is pretty mild compared to some other places.

I was in the UK over Christmas/ NYE and with the exception of one or two especially cold days, it felt similar to Melbourne in the winter.

Late jan/feb are coldest months and depends where you were. Temp and weather is very different, north of doncaster is where it starts to get really cold and depending on which coast. When the wind blew in from the north off the North Sea it would freeze your jeans to your legs whilst stood watching a game lol. Craven park sounds like canberra stadium, some sadist built it for the wind to whip right through it! Don’t miss them days I can tell you.

English rugby league grounds are not designed for the elements
