So who gets the 18th licence maybe another Gold Coast situation like in 88 or Canberra in 82

No chance cause tv won’t pay for those all at once

18th team will be sold as a ninth game and potentially Perth time slot adds value.

then they will repeat what they did now.

add brisbane 3 and get a higher tv deal to pay for them leaving them to add a tenth game later

plus it gives times for new clubs to get established and the player pool too not get too diluted

As 1995 showed adding to many clubs to fast creates divisions

I think that would be great. You can agree to do both and spread it over 3-4 years in terms of entry. Give another couple of years on top of that for team 20

News Ltd own the game the NRL just runs it on their behalf. They have always said Wa is not a high priority for them the game can still get national sponsors without Perth and Adelaide.

The Bears are still delusional enough to think they'll get in as North Sydney playing out of NSO. They've got just 1,500 financial members. That's f**k all and proves their fanbase is even smaller than I thought. I estimated it was 2k or 3k, but it turns out to be half of that. I doubt those 1,500 members would stick around to support the Western Australia Bears.

That's only the football club members, and 1,500 is strong for a NSW cup side.
