Final end to do. I like the shed, great atmosphere, cheap tickets for those without much cash and fits plenty in, just need to extend it to full width of the pitch. 25k seating 2500 standing terrace. Sorted.
I'd move the standing section down to the fencleine and build a stand behind it like the south end.

By the way: 100% that crowd figure was tweaked to be exactly 20,027 to reference the WA Bears 2027 entry to the NRL. I said it straight away at the time it was announced.
This would be right. I was walking past the stadium (just happened to be walking past) and one of the security staff came up and asked if I'd like to come into the ground for 10 minutes?

I said sure thing, went to the gents and then just as I came out they gave the crowd figure.

Was that south stand designed to add more rows? It would be great if it was as high as the east stand and joined to it. Just need to relocate the screen.
As far as I understand what has been published, yes. But not to the height of the Eastern Stand.
There's no mention of filling in the gap between the East and South Stand but if the demand is there, there's little reason not to other than aesthetics inline with the compositional vision.
No but was designed to have the upper corners filled in and a roof.
I've never read anything from the masterplan, to Venues West, to Cox Architecture that correlates with that (other than the option for a roof).

Its mentioned somewhere about a further 1200 or 1800, cant remember which, seats can be added to south stand.

That's correct, but in the form of rows added to the back of the stand. Frankly I have no idea why they didn't just build it complete the first time. Would have been much cheaper. Alas that's the WA way

Wb, grotd, final say. So many Perth haters to base a rivalry on lol
I want a side in WA.. then I see a politician jumping up and demanding one with a sense of entitlement and arrogance.. making me not want a team in WA . Add to that, the strain on the player pool finances and the fact WA hasn't contributed a single thing to the game...uhhh .
New Zealand has been a major contributor to Rugby league since the very beginning and still continues to to this day boosting the only NRL club in history to sell out every home game..
If WA gets inclusion over NZ, it's a slap in the face to an entire nation and over a hundred years of history.
And given the current boom of RL in NZ will mark the single biggest missed opportunity RL has been presented with in over a hundred years.
Perth team 19 - love.
Perth team 18- hate.

That be surprising if extra rows back, thatd require a lot of new support structure going in. I presumed the obvious place to build would be to fill in the two corners, but then dont know where they'd put the big screen?

you have no idea what this WA govt is offering to the game. It could be significant for all you or I know.
And apart from gifting NRL $10's of millions in last few years for bringing RL games here, turning out and putting money in NRL clubs pockets yeh you right we have done nothing lol.
All NZ has done is be lucky enough to genetically produce a race of people that are ideally suited for RL. There's more RL clubs in WA than the Canterbury region.
ps RL has been played in WA for 75 years

Perth 18,
PNG 19
Christchurch/Brisabne3 20
is what it is likely to be. Christchurch needs to show why it should be in ahead of Brisbane3 and that it has the financial clout to be successful.

Anyone that doesn’t support a Perth standalone team is Sydney centric

even if they aren’t from sydney

and again you ignore that up front funding from the WA state government is very different to continual Federal funding and tax breaks required to make PNG viable long term.

I wouldnt say sydney centric, unless they are from NSW.
Short sighted, lacking in belief in the game, myopic.
Thatd be a bit more accurate imo.
