25k is about right for where the club will be. Will still look good atmosphere and look for tv with 15-18k in it and will be big enough for the sell out games.
if and when we need bigger they will no doubt do the North end and add the seats to the south end.

It'll still be better than many other NRl stadiums currently or in future use.

What’s even better is a league and super rugby will help subsidise the higher rent more than a standalone league team would

by the time those clubs cease existing the govt would’ve got a decent return on its outlay

Stadiums dont turn profits. Why do you think Govts fund them and not private equity?

Some do but the roi is poor

with 3 tenants that stadium would have one of the highest usages in Australia before any special events like test matches

and the rent would be higher if it was only one tenant

Of course, the more usage of a stadium the less rent to cover the overheads. Last I heard HBF park was $120k a game rental cost.

Bit expensive

That says some Sydney clubs pay 25k a game but that’s probably suburban grounds not commbank or Allianz

the stadium will provide everything the Perth club needs to make money

unlike playing at the waca this team will have a lot of benefits behind it the past team did not

500 million for a 25k seat stadium is questionable

remember when you were questioning Penrith only getting TWO new stands for 309 million

Need to contact these guys :

Maybe not. AAMI Park has difficulties with expanding beyond 30k.

Then what is in it from the Perth side of it? Remember all along their preference has been to go alone

John Singleton confirmed that the Jets were trying to raise money to be part of it.

They are going with the Bears because the NRL ”strongly advised “ them too… Cumins has said several times he would prefer to go it alone …obviously the NRL see it as an opportunity to kill two birds with the one stone

You are so impatient

Perth has been waiting for a team back for almost 30 years (bears too)

the idea of nz2 is literally a few years old only
There's a reason why they've been waiting so long.
I think this all made up bs, there's no leak. This is newscorp jumping the gun. The only reason all the other bids aren't publicly fuming... they've been reassured by the NRL that the bidding process is still very much open.
Otherwise all the bids ( 11 or so) would be able to sue the NRL.

each stadium deal is structured different. Some dont pay much rent but lose some of the gate takings and corporate sales and signage, others pay full rent and keep all revenue, then there is a different split of catering % etc. Not as straight forward as just the rental cost.

or it could be the bidding process was just a fire to put under the Govt's and bids they wanted in order to get them moving and get the most out of them?

License 20 seems to be the only one that is open for the 9 bids left.

Clubs in Australia don’t get a share of the catering (except maybe the suns but they have a special deal)

I’m talking about grounds like commbank Allianz Suncorp that were govt funded

but yeh the tigers make a couple of grand out of the tuck shop at leichardt oval
According to this Stadiums Queensland report Venue hirers do get a share of the catering revenue.

Finding 9.12 Profits from food and beverage are typically distributed between the caterer, venue manager and venue hirer, this creates a strong incentive to maintain reasonable margins on food and beverage products at Stadiums Queensland venues. Reducing the price of food and beverages at Stadiums Queensland venues would reduce income for the caterer, venue manager and venue hirer.

Shifting the goal posts as usual

clubs don’t keep the bar or food revenue

merivale just paid millions for the contract at Allianz

I suspect
1. NRL has told them they have to
2. potential investors wanting to buy in that have links to the Bears
3. NSLC prepared to fund the Sydney based Jnr systems

So the Bears are bringing in cash that may or may not be there without them. That is them bringing cash into the bid
